Today had been particularity horrible. Patton had been missing since nearly 9am after failing to calm Anxiety down during a panic attack and getting into a fight with Princey, and none of the traits were acting like themselves. Emotions were everywhere, the others couldn't stop arguing, and Thomas treated all of his aspects coldly, not sparing them from any scathing insults he could come up with. The reason why would shock everyone...

Logan smelled it almost as soon as he sunk back into the mindscape after a particularly scalding conversation with Thomas. It hung in the air like a thick smelling perfume, but this was much nastier. Logan knew exactly what it was, and when he saw Morality sitting at the kitchen table, a bottle in hand and a loopy smile on his face, he was more than a little pissed off. Snatching the bottle away, he stared at Patton with hard eyes.

"You better have a good explanation for this Patton. You've been gone for hours. Thomas is irritable and grouchy, Roman is passed out in the mindscape somewhere, and Anxiety had to be locked in his room so he wouldn't murder anyone," the logical man hissed, his eyes flashing dangerously behind his glasses.

"Piss off, Logan. I wasn't doing anything wrong!" Morality whined, reminding Logic of a little kid as he grabbed at the liquor bottle in the other aspect's hand. Logan shoved the hand down before smacking Patton as hard as he could across the face. Patton's glasses flew off his face and clattered to the ground, and a red hand print was left burning angrily on his cheek.

"Oh really? Then why on earth do you smell like a walking liquor bar?! You know what happens when one of us gets drunk! Things go berserk!" Logan practically screamed, his face bright red with anger. Patton calmly picked up his glasses and put them back on, staring at Logan with no expression. Logic felt slight regret when he saw Patton's eyes start swimming with tears, but he wasn't about to let this go. Today had been like living in hell, and it was Patton's fault.

"Okay, maybe I drank a little, but who cares? I can do what I want. You're overreacting," Patton sneered, but his heart wasn't in it. He kept his eyes downcast and wouldn't look up at Logan. Instead of feeling sorry like he probably should have, Logic's anger grew tenfold and he grabbed Patton by the front of his shirt.

"I'M NOT OVERREACTING!" Logan shouted, making the hungover Morality groan and clutch his head. Logic started shaking Patton viciously, yelling at him that he was a failure to Thomas and everyone else. He was just a clueless idiot that told Dad Jokes and was always needlessly silly, and when the going got even just a little tough he got drunk and treated everyone like garbage. Patton tried his best to tune Logan out, but having the other aspect be genuinely angry at him was something he wasn't used to, and soon he found himself bursting into tears and trying to shove Logic away.

"G-Go away! I know I failed! Y-You don't understand! Just go away!" Morality sobbed, clawing at the hands that grabbed at his blue button up shirt. Logic let go of the other bespectacled man, his face twisted in disgust. Patton was still drunk and he staggered backwards, his vision reeling as he tried to regain his balance.

"I'm not going away until you tell me what's going on with you. You're supposed to be the heart, the personification of Thomas' deeper, more positive emotions. You shouldn't be feeling like this!" Logan said, his voice somewhat calm. Patton leaned against the wall and sank to the ground, hugging his knees to his chest and letting tears fall steadily down his face.

" Can you just back off? Please? It's not like you actually give a damn about how I feel. You only care about yourself and making Thomas look smart," Morality spat. Logic went rigid and stiffly straightened his necktie, glowering at the trembling aspect with loathing.

"Fine. But I would advise you to stay away from me, if you know what's good for you. And everyone else. No one wants to be with a failure," Logan replied coldly before storming up the stairs. Patton allowed himself to sob openly into his hands as soon as he heard the slam of Logan's bedroom door.
