Logan had been reading when Virgil came and sat down at his feet, propping his elbows up on his knees and looked up at him expectantly. Logan raised an eyebrow but continued to read "The Chronicles of Narnia", this time aloud. Virgil smiled and rested his head against Logan's knee, closing his eyes and listening to the soothing sound of Logan's voice.

"You seem to be enjoying yourself," Logan said with an amused look on his face, looking at the way Virgil was smiling. Virgil chuckled and opened his eyes.

"I love how you read in different voices for different characters. It's fun. Besides, it's a good way to cope with not being able to sleep," Virgil mused, his eyes fluttering closed again. Logan blinked and then glanced at the clock, his heart moving with sympathy as he saw what time it was. 4am. Virgil had probably had a nightmare of some sort.

"Go back to sleep, Virgil," Logan whispered, running his fingers through Virgil's hair in an attempt to calm him down. Virgil hummed happily and practically nuzzled into Logan's hand, sighing happily.

"One more chapter, then sleep. Please?" Virgil asked, opening his eyes again and looking up at Logan with puppy dog eyes. Logan sighed and opened the book back up, his lips quirking in a smile.

"Alright, just one more," he said, bending down and kissing the top of Virgil's head before clearing his throat and straightening up, reading to Virgil until he finally drifted off to sleep.
