/Just nod and smile. It'll be okay. Don't look at him. Don't talk to him. Don't give him a reason to fight/, Roman thought as he came up into Thomas' living room with a fabulous, giant, epically fake smile that seemed just a bit too enthusiastic. He made sure not to look at his boyfriend (could he still call him that?) Logan, terrified about what he'd find there. The video went fairly smoothly and Roman felt a glimmer of hope. Perhaps Logan had gotten over their petty argument. Maybe he'd forgiven Roman. Sadly, Roman's hopes were soon dashed to pieces as Thomas turned to him.

"I said it before and I'll say it again, you and Logan make a fantastic team, Roman!" Thomas said cheerfully, not realizing his grave error. Everyone froze and Roman's heart thundered in his chest as a tiny, hurt smile ghosted Logan's lips.

"A good team, you say?" Logan began slowly. Roman's face drained of all color.

"Don't do this here," Roman begged weakly. Logan smiled bitterly and Roman's heart sank deeper and deeper until he was sure it had disappeared.

"Whatever Do you mean, darling? I think now is the perfect time," Logan said smoothly, sarcasm dripping from the pet name Roman used to adore. Logan, without hesitation, continued to speak. "Thomas says we're a good team...and yet, everything I say seems to be a joke to you," Logan hissed. Roman shook his head, fighting back tears. Virgil put up his hood and Patton whimpered softly.

"Please," Roman pleaded one last time, but Logan ignored him. He was just getting started.

"Everything I say is useless and irrelevant, right? I'm just a stupid, idiotic excuse for a trait," Logan snarled. A few tears rolled down Roman's cheeks. "Oh wait...no, that's you!" Logan said with a sickeningly sweet smile. Roman's tears fell faster but he said nothing. Virgil sunk out quickly but Patton stayed, wanting to protect Roman if he needed to.

"I'm not st-stupid," Roman stammered, but he knew Roman was right. He had done nothing to help. He was the one who always started fights with Logan, always calling him names and being envious of his achievements. Roman was nothing. Logan was everything. He knew he hurt Logan, that's why he was saying the things he was.

"We're done," Logan said, choking up slightly. Roman simply nodded, and watched with dull eyes as Logan sunk out. Patton quickly rushed over to him, hugging him tightly. Thomas looked at the two guiltily.

"I'm sorry," Thomas said softly. Roman nodded silently. It wasn't Thomas' fault, it was his. He hurt Logan. He made him feel inferior and worthless. He was a monster. He deserved to suffer.
