Chapter 35: Tracking for clues

"So how was it?!" Tanong  ni Kath sa akin habang naglalakad kami papunta sa library.

Gosh! I didn't know that she's that excited about my love life.

"How was what?"

"Bhest, no need to hide."

Kath is so cross-questioning. Not that I hate it, but it's awkward.

"It was... Sexy and passionate." I answered timidly.

This is kinda obstinate even though I'm talking to a lady like me, and the fact that she's my best friend, so sharing my love life story is also a FIRST to me.

"How sexy was it, Bhest? How did he kiss you?" Mas exciting niyang tanong.

"He asked for my permission, then I said yes. We kissed under the moonlight at the beach. Teka nga, bakit mo ba ako ini-interrogate?"

"Well, this is your other side that I never seen. I mean look at you, Bhest! You're blooming ever since you went on that vacation. Hindi ka man lang nagpaalam. I kept on calling you tapos nung pumasok ako sa bahay mo, naiwan mo pala ang phone mo and almost half of your dress are gone." She said smiling. "Akala ko nagtanan na kayo."

We took our seats as we get inside the library. Magkaharap kami and I thought na titigil na siya sa kaka-interrogate yun pala hindi.

"So, tama ba na sa Cebu ka niya dinala?"

"Paano mo nalaman?" I asked wondering.

"Kuya Philip tracked Chris."

"Paano naman niya kami mata-track ni Chris kung wala kaming dalang phone? Chris kidnapped me unexpectedly. Hinanap ko ang phones namin pero wala akong nakitang ni isang phone sa yacht."

"I don't know. Pero kilala mo naman si Kuya Philip diba? He has his ways of being such a  creepy stalker."

"No wonder kung bakit parehas sila ni Chris. Those two men should stick together."

"Pero, alam mo bang hindi man lang kami sinabihan ni Chris na magbabakasyon kayo sa inyo sa Cebu? He just disappeared with you."

"Parang di ka pa nasanay sa kanya, Bhest. He has wild surprises."

"Including your first kiss?"

I blushed.

"See, Bhest? You're really blushing. Hula ko di ka prepared."

"I'm really not prepared. Lagi nalang ako nagugulat sa mga pakulo ni Chris. I'm always stunned by his sudden actions, and maybe that's the reason why I fell in love with him." I said.

"Bakit maybe lang?"

"Because I fell in love with a total stranger... I still have a lot to know about him and yet, here I am, loving him unexpectedly. But you know what Kath, kahit papaano mas nakilala ko siya noong nasa Cebu kami. Every time I look at him, I see his other side... So refreshing... So new, and he felt home.."

Kath's smile suddenly faded.

"What's wrong,Kath?"

"He did really changed because of you, Bhest. I may not see him in his other side like you do but I can feel that he has changed... a lot."

"Naguguluhan ako, Bhest.. You told me he's your best friend along with his sister and Karisse, so how come that you're saying like you don't know him at all?"
