Chapter 3: Reminiscing the Past

3rd Omniscient PoV

Imposible...

Imposible talaga...

(FLASHBACK)

4 years ago...

Highschool's finally over. Katatapos lang ng graduation. At sa wakas nakaraos na din sila. Pero ayaw pa niyang umalis... Gusto pa niyang mas namnamin ang mga huli niyang oras dito. Kaya nagpasya muna siyang maglakad-lakad dito sa hallway. It's been many years... Dito na siya lumaki sa pag-aaral. He was passing the other side of the hallway ng mapansin niyang may bukas na ilaw sa may 3rd floor. Sino kaya ang taong aakyat pa sa taas sa oras na ito? Naisip niyang umakyat nalang para malaman kung sino ang nasa taas.

Nasa 2nd floor palang siya nang narinig na niya ang pagtugtog ng piano. Kaya mas nagmadali siyang umakyat. He knew who's inside that room; his heart started to throb... Slowly at first until it was already beating fast like it was revived from a long oblivion. It felt like chasing her once again for he can finally see her clearly and alone even just for a while where no one can stop them... He walked with his eager feet, wanting to make an entrance in that room. When he was just inches away, he noticed that the door is slightly open making him see who's inside.

And he wasn't wrong... A glint of smile emerged in him for he was never wrong that it was her. He always knew that she will return in that room; where they once spend their delightful memories.

Karisse...

He smiled in wonder....

He took his enthusiastic steps inside the Music room so that he can be close to her again; to once feel her warm presence. He watch her play so peacefully and calm in her purplish- blue graduation dress.

I never stopped thinking about this amazing woman and her remarkable charms as she do marvels on the piano.

At nang tuluyan na siyang makalapit sa kanya, napansin din ng dalaga ang presensya ng lalakeng minsan nang naging bahagi ng buhay niya.

She stopped peculiarly, as if seeing a ghost.

"Re-rence? A-anong ginagawa mo dito?"

"Ano ring ginagawa mo dito?" Balik niya tanong sa dalaga.

"Nagpa-piano. Bawal ba?"

Everything seems so different between them but when they look at each others' eyes, they're also searching for a glimpse that was already buried deep down in their souls.

"Hindi naman. Nakita ko kasing nakabukas ang ilaw kaya pinuntahan ko."

"Ngayong nakita mo na, ano na ang gagawin mo dito?"

"Well... I guess we can talk now."

"Talk?" Pagtaas niya ng kilay but with a smile. "Is this not talking to you?"

Karisse thought that this is absurd. She knew that they shouldn't be together especially this close and inside, still attached to each other.

"You know what I mean Karisse..." Seryoso niyang sagot.

Natahimik siya at tiningnan niya lang ang binata na parang hindi niya alam ang ibig nitong sabihin.

Karisse didn't respond, instead, Rence sit beside her. "Mamimiss kita." Ngiti niya.

"Ako din." A bittersweet response from her.

"May ibibigay nga pala ako sayo."
