Also called the Indian Spotted Chevrotain. A Chevrotain is related to the lesser mouse deer. They are mainly nocturnal. The males are typically smaller than the females and are very shy.
Chevrotains are a ruminant, which means they have even toes but the Spotted Mouse Deer will also show characteristics that of a non-reminant.
