One of the heaviest flying birds is the Mute Swan. The males are called cobs while the females are called pens. The knobs that rest on the Swan bill are found on both genders, but are larger on the females. The juveniles would not have the knob until they reach sexual maturity. The Mute Swan has an orange bill.
