Males can be very colorful. Chameleons color-changing actually show their mood and males are vivid in color during mating season and defending territories. All Chameleons sway in the wind and moved very slowly to mimic the leaves and to avoid predators. Their toes are flat so the flat pad enables them to cling vertical, smooth surfaces. Males have a body appendage on their nose and they are larger than the females. The Panther Chameleon is active during the day.
