When fleeing they can reach speeds up to 4 mph. Of all invertebrates, the Octopus with a well-developed nervous system and a large brain, they are very intelligent animals. Males are mature when they reach 3 ½ lbs while females are mature at 2 lbs. Females die after breeding while males tend to live longer. If an Octopus has damage an arm, it can regrow a new one. Most Octopus can find in plain sight because they can camouflage themselves by changing their skin color.
