One of the first things that brought up a conversation between Anna and I was she gave me a little card saying "This year, we have zero drama and we will be best friends and always be there for each other. ~ Anna" I found this awesome, she was going to be here for me, I would have someone I am positive I can talk to. I'll have someone I can trust.
"Hey, so you know those youtubers you told me about? Joey and Shane? Yea, well Ive started to watch their videos, but I like Joey more! Ive watched all of his videos!" Anna said right after she gave me the mini card. As I was thinking about what she had said about the YouTubers, I just looked at the card. It was small and could fit in one hand. There was a man hiking on a cliff. I have no idea where she got this card, she probably just found it somewhere around the house.
I had forgotten I told her about some of my favorite YouTubers. I am happy that now we have the same 'famous' people to talk about, but the way she mentioned them, just made me regret the fact that I told her anything about them. "Helloooo, earth to Alice! OMG! Joey is sooo cute! Do you ship Shoey? I ship Shoey!" Anna was way too hyper for this. It was anoying and she was acting the same way she was when she said that she was a fan of One Direction. If I am being honest, she was a carrot.
"Huh?! Oh yea, cool. Yea, I ship Shoey. What about One Direction?" I ask curiously. I was fginally getting used to her liking this band that kept me alive and made me feel useful when I felt as though I meant nothing.
"Oh them... I dont like them anymore. Youre right I was a carrot." Anna says. She left because I told her a fact that any Directioner could point out? "And besides, I really only liked Zayn." She looked around for a second, "You know, because he looked Mexican." She had told me towards the end of last year that she only liked Mexicans or people that looked Mexican, which I found stupid.
"Oh, yea... So youve moved onto liking YouTubers? Thats cool" I said it like I meant it, although it pissed me off. Shes going to act exactly the way she did with One Direction, except with people I introduced her to?
"Yea! Oh my gosh! I absoluetly love them! Do you watch Alfie, Stacy, iJustine, Louise, or anybody else?" So not only did I have to force her to watch some of my favorite YouTubers, but now she watches people that I barely ever watch but truly respect? OK then, already a shitty start to my school year, but if she was going to try then I will too. I just have to ignore some facts.
"Yea, sometimes." I say, which wasnt a lie.
I decided that I would get past this no matter what it took. I will not ruin our friendship. Not over something as stupid as this.
