The following morning, Connor went back to the coffee shop to text both Zoe and Evan on his crappy old phone. He tapped Zoe's contact first.

Zoe: how are you doing?

Connor: uhh... i don't think you want to know

Connor: i'm just kind of devoid of emotions but it's cool

Zoe: can i help at all?

Zoe: i don't know either.

Zoe: i mean, from what i know, i probably shouldn't until you're at Heidi's.

Connor: okay, it's okay i'lll be alright

Zoe: well, what are you doing today?

Connor: i gotta text evan soon

Connor: then i'm going to some lady's house

Connor: to have sex with her

Zoe: so you do guys and girls?

Connor: yeah not doing it at all

Zoe: :( you'll be okay soon just hold on.

Connor: haha yeah i think jared's into me

Zoe: Jared is into everyone honestly

He took a break to drink his usual coffee, fueling up with caffeine for the day, before texting Evan.
