So I have been on Wattpad for a few years now. I'm on it almost everyday, it's like a drug to me. However, ever since I joined, I have seen the ups and downs of the fanfics and their specific fandoms/series, and Wattpad in general.

I want to make a witty comment about this concerning the ads on the desktop but we all know what that comment is going to be so I'm not gonna mention it for the sake of being able to keep using it.
For that matter, I really don't mind the ads on Wattpad app tbh. I know some people will find them irritating as hell but here's how I see it: it's far better than other free apps where you get bombarded with ads every few seconds.
For me, they have been very far in between. I don't read stories as much on here anymore because college is time consuming and I barely get time to write my stories as it is. But those ads do support some of the writers on here so I don't see the necessity to complain here.
But what really bugs me is the new features thing. WE HAVE TO PAY TO ACCESS NEW FEATURES FIRST.
So you mean we can't wait for the app to update to get those said new features???
Edit: I still don't get the logic of this. If we have to pay to get new features FIRST, then why not just keep them to the paid users? Idk something like Crunchyroll adding live streaming to their episodes to Premium users makes a lot more sense to this. But where Wattpad's version goes anywhere, well see soon enough. I mean, the premium users getting the new features first basically means that they act as the betas lmao.
Ugh that still pisses me off.
But the sad thing about all of this is that unlike YouTube Red, this is the one thing I might actually apply for a subscription over if the ads get worse over time. Because unlike YouTube, I do stuff on here. I do read some of the stories, I do write stories, even if it is only one or two on here right now. And for that matter, it is relatively cheaper than YouTube Red, so it at least has that going for it.
And yeah. That's about it for this rant. I'm tired with a cold andthis week is just making me exhausted. New rants may be out in god knows how long. :/
