So I have been on Wattpad for a few years now. I'm on it almost everyday, it's like a drug to me. However, ever since I joined, I have seen the ups and downs of the fanfics and their specific fandoms/series, and Wattpad in general.
So what did I do...
Well, its been well over an year since I promised this rant. Things got in the way though, and maybe its a good thing because a year later, I'm going to be able to look at this series in a more....positive as well as a critical light. (Also I love that GIF of Victor, its beautifully animated.)
The positives: it has a good love story, likable characters, and props to this series for giving me a canon gay relationship to actually support lmao. The closest I got to something like this was Korrasami but even I'm a bit iffy on that, and not for the reasons you think. The fandom, from what I've seen, is incredibly charming and kind.
And yeah, before I go on, I kind of have to point out why I really don't talk about fandoms of a specific series anymore. Thing is, there's a bright side and a dark side to a fandom and they both have their ups and downs. Twilight has one, Harry Potter has one, Steven Universe has one, you get my point. There's also the fact that whenever I do a rant, I kind of lay out my first impressions of a series and these days, with so little time, its usually before I hop onto Tumblr and search up the hashtag. I usually want to rant based on my experiences in those fandoms. The only reason why I ranted about the dark side of the Fairy Tail fandom so much was because there were just some things that really bothered me.
Unless that dark side really irritates me to the bone or if I want to get out a specific opinion of something that happened in that side of the fandom, I really won't be talking about the fandoms all that much when talking about a series. Unless its something that I've seen before, like Ouran High School Host Club (*wink wink*), don't really expect an opinion of an fandom. I know that contradicts the title of the damn book but the book is in its final stages, so yeah. XD
BACK TO THE ACTUAL TOPIC
As far as favorites go, I really do not have one. I mean, I like Yuri and Victor. I like the fact that Yuri tries to overcome his anxiety, I like the fact that we get a look inside Victor's head during episode 10. I like the Russian Yuri as well and his struggles as a character. I just don't have a favourite character of all time from the series.
BUT
The character who has the best facial expressions is Victor. No contest, like look at this:
