Danganronpa (YES I JUMPED ON THE BANDWAGON)

So...a friend of mine downloaded the games for me and.....*inhales* 

THESE FUCKING GAMES

Okay so for those of you who don't know, Danangronpa is a murder mystery series of games that came out sometime two - three years ago. The first game, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, you play as Makoto Naegi, the Ultimate Lucky Student as you try to survive a "Mutual Killing School Life" put together by the series main antagonist, Monokuma.

The second game, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, you follow Hajime Hinata as you try to survive a second killing game, this time on an island.

A canon spinoff called Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is where you play as Makoto's little sister Komaru, and it's also a prequel to the second game so there's that.

Along with a few other side stuff like Danganronpa/Zero and the series ends with an all original anime called Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak Academy. The third game, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, starts all over again (or rather, takes place in a alternate universe) so if you wanna give this series a shot, I'd suggest playing the first two games, the spin-off, and watching the finale that is the anime, in that order.

Btw, the finale has three arcs: Future arc, Despair arc and Hope arc. The Future and Despair arcs are supposed to be watched at the same time, so for example if you're watching episode 1 of the Future arc, after that you watch episode 1 of the Despair arc. Basically just alternate between the two, cause that's how you're supposed to watch the anime. I know it's weird but that's literally how it was aired to begin with and plus, it's pretty cool with the way they structured it tbh. And then after that you watch the Hope arc, which is just really one episode, but it's the finale for both arcs so yeah. XD

(Sidenote, you can watch the anime adaptation of the first game but I would not recommend it. Compared to the number of hours you put into the games, it's honestly kind of shit imo, despite it being literally word for word the same, right down to the truth bullets, and you're a lot better off watching the actual playthroughs of the games if you don't have money to buy them.)

I should also mention that I haven't played V3 yet so if you could avoid spoilers in the comments that would be great :D I think I might create a separate rant for that but I might just edit this one and republish it. IDK, we'll see how it goes.  

SPOILERS ARE GOING TO BE RAMPANT FROM HERE ON OUT (at least for the stuff before V3). YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. (Seriously tho, play the games. You won't regret it.)

Well, she's not my favorite character but I like her regardless. But can we just talk about Sayaka Maizono though?
