since the call to the previous chapter
My eyes snapped open when my alarm went off. I snoozed it and rolled to the other side of the bed. *sigh*
I haven't got any sleep last night because of talking late with my mom. I can remember her face's expression when I clicked the answer button. I hope they're fine this time.
Last night...
I closed the door when I got inside my room. I sat on my bed and answered mom's call.
The first thing I saw was her worried face. Wait, she's crying. She was walking down a hallway with white walls and it was kinda noisy there.
"Mum? Is everything alright?" I asked. She looked at me but continued walking in a fast pace. "Mum." I said louder.
"Asa," she calms down a bit but her scared/worried expression stayed. "Loxie..." she starts.
"What? What happened to Loxie?" I asked. I'm starting to get worried too. I heard a door closed, probably Dianne's. I focused back on my mother. "Loxie got into an accident." She quickly said. "What?" I whisper/yell. I hope no one in the house heard me.
"Wha-How? Is she ok? Who are you with? Where are you?" I asked her a bunch of questions. I'm starting to panic. My heart is beating fast and my breathing pattern quickens.
"I'm at the hospital right now," she takes a turn to a corner. "I'm with Marlie here in the emergency." She shows Marlie holding her hand while her doll was pressed between her body and arm.
"Where's dad?" I asked. "He's still working. I called him already, he said he'll be here anytime soon." She stopped and tears start to form in her eyes.
"What happened?" I asked. "Loxie."

I took a deep breath and walked out of my bedroom. Dianne's parents were already downstairs making coffee. I had a shower then put on my clothes.
I need to tell them today.
My heavy footsteps making sounds as I walked down the stairs.
"Good morning, Asa." Dianne's mom greets me as well as Mr. Brookins when I came to the kitchen.
I ate breakfast and sat with them on the living room. While they were watching, I was thinking of how I will talk to them. I fiddled with my fingers and here it goes...
"Uhmm, Mr. , Mrs. Brookins." I cleared my throat.
They looked at me and turned the TV off. "I-I need to tell you something. Something important." I looked at them. "We're all ears, dear." Mrs. Brookins said.
"So,uhm. My mum called me last night and told me that my little sister, Loxie, got into a horrible accident and now she's in the hospital." I gulped. "Mum also told me that-that I need to go back... to London."
"When will you leave?" Mr. Brookins ask. "In 3 days, sir." Tom and Janet looked at each other with a sympathetic expression.
"When will you tell Dianne?" I haven't figured that one yet.
"I guess I have to tell her today too." I scratch the back of my neck. Janet looks at Tom and he nods. Did they just had a telepathic communication?
