Dianne's POV

"Dianne... wake up." "It's your big day, come on now."

I fluttered my eyes open and saw a blurry vision of mom. I rubbed my eyes then start to see clearer.

"Mom? What is it?" I groaned. "Breakfast is on the table already. You gotta get ready now." I turn to the other side. Instantly regretting it for the sun rays hit my face. "I'll be down in a sec."

I heard her footsteps go away and then a moment of silence. "I really need to get out of bed." I said. But I'm still tired. Few more minutes?  "I need to eat to live." Fine, but count to 20. I counted to 20 as I still have a small conversation to myself in my head.

"And... 20." I swing my legs to the side and went to the bathroom to do my routine. After that, I grabbed my phone then went down the stairs, straight to the dining. There was some waffles, chocolate syrup and and a glass of milk.

I sat and ready to devour my breakfast until my phone started to vibrate.

A message from Asa

Should I reply to him right now or maybe later? I'm thinking twice making it harder to decide. But I'm hungry, seriously so... foods before dudes.

The waffle was really good especially with chocolate. Dad always makes the best foods, for me. Speaking of dad, where is he? I looked around, searching for him.

"Hey mom, where's dad?" I asked mom, who was sitting in the sofa. "He's outside, cleaning the car and getting it ready." She replied, not looking up from her phone. I nodded and continued eating.

After 10 minutes, I finished eating and went to the bathroom to have a bath. It has the right temperature, perfect. I stepped out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around me. Suddenly, a flashback went to my mind.

It was when I opened the door, just in time Asa was about to touch it. It revealed me in towel wrapped body. For a second, we stared and then he covered his eyes with his hand. I skipped to my room and shut it. God, that was really a very embarrassing situation.

...

"What do you think honey?" I opened my eyes and I saw myself in the mirror. Mom helped me put on makeup since I was nervous, I was having a hard time picking the right shades. "Wow, thank you Mom." I said as I look at other angles and touch my cheeks. "Anything for you sweetie."

Mom left my room and I put my stuff on my small pouch. I finished and took a rest for a while. The mirror on my closet showed me in my lavender colored dress that has a bow. I just noticed that I do really look great in my dress, I wasn't really paying attention when we're buying it.

My hair was curled on the strands at the end and clipped with flower design clip. My shoes were at least 2 inches heels. At least there is a smaller probability I'll trip.

After admiring myself just by looking in a mirror, I got up and sprayed my perfume and made sure there was no dirt on my face. I put on my graduation dress and closed my door.

Mom was waiting at the edge of the stairs, wearing her tight blue dress and holding a camera. Dad was beside her, wearing a white button up shirt underneath a dark gray blazer. Smiles were plastered on their faces.

"Oh my. You look... gorgeous. Just gorgeous Dianne." Mom said, putting a hand over her mouth. "Just like her mom." Dad said and slides his hand to Mom's waist. He kissed her head then looked back at me.

"Let's take a picture already." Mom holds the camera, ready to take a pic. I posed myself on the stairs. Next, Mom stood beside while Dad took pictures. They switched places; Mom holds the camera, Dad by my side.

After a few rounds of taking more pictures, I asked "What time is it? We might be late already." "It's just 1:15 Dianne. There's still 45 minutes." Dad said. Suddenly, a familiar ringtone was heard in the living room. I saw my phone still on the dining table.

I picked it up and saw Asa's caller ID. [D - Dianne///A - Asa]

"Hello? Asa?"

"Hey D."

"Oh my gosh, hey. How's it going?"

"Good, everything's fine here. Loxie's doing fine and yeah."

"Congratulations by the way. I bet you look pretty today. I mean you always look pretty."

"Aww, thank you. That's so sweet."

"I wish I was there with you."

"It's ok, Ace. I'm fine. No one will still your girl. I promise."

"My girl eh? *chuckles* And don't keep promises you can't keep, Brookins."

"That won't be kept if someone steals my man. *chuckles*"

"I gotta go now though. Don't wanna be late for grad. Bye Asa."

"Bye Dianne!" I ended the call and put my phone inside my pouch.

Me and my parents went inside the car. I double checked my things if I didn't forgot anything. After I made sure everything was in place, Dad drove off. On our way, Sad Song by We The Kings played on the radio.

At exactly 1:32 pm, Dad dropped me and Mom at the graduation venue which was also where the prom was held. We walked inside while Dad searched for a parking spot. We reached the door wherein when you opened it, you will see the ceremony.

"You ready?" ask Mom. "Yup." I replied. She nodded and opened the door. I hope this day will end up wonderfully.

A/N:

As you can see or maybe noticed, I used a lot of references to the other chapters.

The body wrapped in towel was in Ch.10. Don't keep promises was in Ch.3. Sad song in Ch.12 and lastly, the last two paragraphs were in Ch.15.

Anyways, I can't wait for the next chapter so I'm gonna start writing rn. A HUGE thank you for the 1.61 k reads and 82 votes. Love ya'll!!!😘
