Asa's POV

It was just 5 minutes after we left the house when I decided to plug my earphones to my phone and started to play music. I put it on a normal volume so I can still hear if Dianne or any of her parents will say something.

At the corner of my eye, I also saw that Dianne played music with earphones on. She came closer and rest her head on my shoulder. She switched through different apps in her phone, but one caught my attention.

"Hey, let's play Ultimate Tag." I said.

"In my phone?" Dianne asks. "Yeah." I nodded.

She clicked on the game and faced me. I hold the end while she holds the other. I picked the yellow player while Dianne was the green one. The game starts and it showed that Dianne as the it.

We ran around the park until she cornered me. "Got 'ya!" She runs away and I quickly followed her. "Oh come on!" I said as I was about to get her but the time ran out.

This went on for 10 minutes till our fingers were getting tired. Dianne put her phone aside. Silence went by shortly.

"Hey, remember the time you almost tumbled down the stairs?" I asked her.

"Yeah, why?" "The thought just came by my mind." She nodded then another thought went by that made me chuckle.

"What?" Dianne asks. I shake my head, telling her it was nothing. But it just repeats on my mind that it's making it hard not to laugh.

"Seriously what is it?" Dianne pushes me.

"I remembered that expression on your... face!" Now I can't stop laughing. "It was like you... saw a... ghost!" I said in between laughs.

I saw that she was confused so I did her expression in my face.

We ended up laughing after what I did. The car filled with our laughter. Our faces must be already red like tomatoes right now. Laughter slowly stopped.

"Remember the time you ate noodles but after a few scoops, your face was already red!!!" She points at me and laughs hysterically.

"Yup. Second week I was here." We continued laughing until there was nothing to laugh about.

We didn't realized that we were in the car for an hour which means there is at least 30 minutes till we get to the airport.

I intertwined Dianne's hand to mine, hold it tight. She looks at me then smiled. I shifted closer to her to rest her head on my shoulder. The sky was full of clouds, kinda dark clouds. I guess it's gonna rain later.

Dianne holds into my hand tighter like she's telling me she doesn't want to let go... but I have to. I've gotta let go... any time now.

I can already see through the front car window that we're nearing the airport. I remove my earphones and put it on my pocket then turned my phone off. Dianne saw me do it so she shut her phone off, stopping the music without letting go of my hand. I smiled at how she managed it.

We entered the airport, took a few turns. I don't know why but my heart beat became faster. The car slowly stops until it completely stayed on its place.

"We're here." Tom said and goes out of the car, followed by his wife.

We gently let go of each others' hands as we got out of the car. I close the door and she walked around the side.

Tom brought my luggage out of the car and placed it near us. It was now time to say our goodbyes, gotta hold back the sadness now.

"It was great meeting you Asa." Tom hugs me and gives a pat on the back. "You brought a lot of happiness to our family, especially to my daughter." He smiled sincerely.

"Your family brought happiness to my life too, Mr. Brookins." I returned a smile to him and turned to Mrs. Brookins.

"We're gonna miss you Asa." She quickly hugs me. "I hope you enjoyed your days with us. Have a safe trip back to London."

"I sure did Mrs. Brookins and thank you." She nodded. I can see the sadness in her eyes. Lastly, Dianne.

She wipes a tear in her eye with the back of her hand then looks up on me. I remember the first time we met. She was behind her parents. When Tom called her, she looked up with blushing cheeks.

I let out I shaky breath and placed a hand on her cheek. She shivered on my touch. A tear slips down on her cheek then I brush it off with my thumb. We looked each other in the eyes. Hers were being filled with tears while mine were filled with sadness but no tears.

Out of the blue, I kissed her lips and she kissed back. She put her hands in my neck as I put mine in her jaw. She broke the kiss to hug me tightly, tighter than the last ones we had. I closed my eyes and placed a kiss on her head while rubbing her back.

"I love you D." I felt her chuckle on my chest. "I love you too Ace." I placed another kiss on her head.

We broke from the hug and saw each other's faces. "I'm gonna miss you so much." "I'll miss you too."

"Have a safe trip home." She said. "I will." I forced a smile in my face.

I grabbed my suitcases and walked to the inside of the airport. Before I pass through the metal detector, I turned to the Brookins family one last time. I waved goodbye to them and that will be last time I will see them... last time I will see her.

Her smile, her dimples, her flaws and perfections.

I entered the plane and sat on my seat. The plane starts to go up after a few minutes and I don't know what I should feel.

There was this heavy feeling though like I lost a piece of myself somewhere in that place. I'm not complete anymore.

Because I know that piece was her.
