Last moments in the Brookins' Residence

Dianne's POV

Last day... it's the last day with Asa Butterfield.

I stare at his face, seeing all his flaws and perfections. He takes a breath in then exhales. I put my hand up to my pillow and keep staring then sighed. I must look like creep like now, smiling at sleeping Asa. What can I do, he looks cute.

"Enjoying the view?" Asa asks, making me freeze. He laughs at me while I blush red like a tomato. I cover my face with the blanket.

He pulls me closer to him and wraps his arms around me. I inhale his scent, closing my eyes for a bit. I looked up to his face and saw that he was smiling. Asa plays with my hair as we stayed in that position for minutes.

"What time is it?" I ask Asa. He lets go of me for a while and looks at the bedside clock.

"8:53. Are you going?" I thought for a while if I should go eat or stay for a few minutes.

My stomach grumbles suddenly, making me and Asa look at it.

"Go ahead. I'll be down in a few minutes." He took his hand up to his forehead.

I threw the covers to his side. But before I could place my feet on the floor, he pulls me back on the bed. "Asa, hahaha. I thoug-hahaha." He tickles me.

I stopped him, pushing his hands aside.

"Wait, my parents might hear us." I told him as I sat up. "I'm gonna go now."

I was about to sound but then Asa grabbed my wrist and smashed his lips to mine. He smiles between our 3 second kiss.

Then he lets go of my hand. I looked back at him and smiled. He winks at me. I close the door and went skip my way to my room. I grabbed my towel and went to the bathroom. I had shower and brushed my teeth.

While waiting for my hair to dry, I wore a white tank top topped with blue long sleeve and jeans. I put on black sneakers. I unwrapped my hair from the towel and let it be. I plugged my phone and went out of my room.

The steps of the stairs creaked as I descended. I peeked through the kitchen and saw mom and pouring a glass of juice.

"Morning mom." I greeted with a smile. She turned around and greeted me too.

"Breakfast is on the table." I looked at it and saw french toast and fruits. I sat on the chair and took 2 pieces of toast on my plate and strawberries.

Asa went down the stairs and smiled at me.

"Good morning." He said. "G' morning." He changed his clothes into a white shirt and dark gray jeans. We ate our breakfast together on the dining table.

"Have you packed everything yet?" I asked, breaking the silence between us.

"Yeah, except my laptop is still on the bed." Asa replied. I took a bite of the strawberry and nodded.

"Oh good morning Asa." Dad came in from the back door and pats the back of Asa. "How's your sleep?" He sat on a chair facing us.

"It was great sir. Everything was perfect last night." He smirks. I purse my lips to prevent myself from giggling.

[Nothing happened last night, people. They just slept beside each other.]

Dad nodded and headed to the kitchen to drink a glass of water. I brush the crumbs off my clothes after I finished eating and offered to bring his plate with mine back to the kitchen.

"I'm just going to get something in my room." I pointed upstairs.

Asa looked up from his phone and answered "Sure."

I rushed to my room, put out a sky blue paper designed with some flowers, and a black pen. I sat on my chair and started writing. After that, I fold the paper 3 times then put something inside it finally, wrapped it with a white ribbon. I peeked outside the room; they're downstairs, good. I tip-toed to Asa's room, really careful not to make a noise.

He's right, his laptop is still on the bed. I opened the top slowly to put my letter in. I left the room like nothing happened. I trot back to my room, tied my hair in a bun, sprayed perfume and unplugged my phone.

I passed Dad followed by Mom as I walked down. I think they're getting ready now. Asa was still sitting on the couch so I sat with him.

"What are you gonna miss here?" I lay my head on Asa's shoulder.

"Those bike rides to the park, great of the night on the terrace, but the most I am gonna miss here is the girl beside me." He kisses my head.

Asa looks back at his phone and groans. "I need to get my suitcases down." He kisses my cheek and goes to his room.

I stay on the couch, fiddling with my fingers. Anytime now, we're going inside the car.

"You already got all you need, Asa?" Dad asks as he goes down the stairs.

"Where's he?" He saw me alone in the couch. "He just went to his room to get his suitcases." I replied. He nods and gets the car keys on the table.

In a couple of minutes, we were all downstairs getting ready to go outside. I retied my hair in a bun and fixed my clothes. Dad then got Asa's stuff to the back of the car. Mom followed after.

"I'm gonna miss this place." Asa said, looking around then stops at me to show a smile.

I smiled back and took his hand. I opened the door and Asa took his last step out of the house.

He went to his side of the car while I go to mine and sit inside. I saw Dad was looking at me through the front mirror and fixed it to see Asa. Dad let out a sigh and started to drive.

And those were the last moments of Asa in our house.

I'm really really so sorry I haven't updated in ages!!! I feel so guilty right now for making you guys wait for so long. I'm really sorry.

School was making my schedule always full, I just turned 14, and I had an writer's block for a while that's why this update is so late.

Ok, enough of the chitty-chat-chat. How's your week been? Cool? Exhausting? Weird? Nothing fun because I haven't updated He's Here?

Actually this part was supposed to be longer but I decided to have 2 parts of it. So yeah, that's it. Bye! 👋
