Chapter 22

Dianne's POV

        As I heard people outside and cars driving through, I slightly opened my eyes and let out a yawn. The bed I was in was heaven for me, making it more difficult for me to leave it. I hugged my pillow closer to my head and gave a sigh.

        For a few more minutes staying in bed, I finally decided to rise up for my tummy is already grumbling for food. I swing my legs to the side of the bed and walked to the bathroom. I looked at myself at the mirror and brushed my teeth. I showered and covered myself with a towel.

        The first thing I saw when I opened the bathroom door was the dress I wore last night. Memories then start to occur inside my head. I didn't realized I was standing at the doorway for 5 minutes, just thinking about last night's kiss.

        I dressed myself with a pink shirt, jeans and converse. I dried and combed my hair in front of the mirror. Looking at the time in my phone, I decided at least ready my stuff if mom or dad says we're leaving.

        I went outside and Asa was no where to be seen, probably still sleeping.

        My phone vibrates as it receives a message. 4 messages from Mom. I opened it and saw her messages earlier this morning.

Mom: Good morning sweetie!

Mom: Breakfast is about to be served downstairs.

Mom: I guess you're still not awake.

Mom: Dad said we'll leave around 3.

        The time shows 10:47 am. Should I wake Asa up? Yeah, I should disturb him in his sleep.

        I lightly knock on his door and when he didn't answered, I let myself in. Inside, I saw a soundly asleep Asa. His hair was messed and one of his pillows fell out. I giggled at the sight.

        I tiptoed to him and knelt down beside his bed, where we were eye level. I can't help but keep smiling at him. I tilted my head to the side as he sleeps. Wow, I feel like a creep right now. 

Ok, enough of that Dianne, wake him up now.

"Asa,time to wake up." I whispered. He moves a little but keeps on sleeping.

"Asa, come on now. Time for breakfast." I poked him in the cheek.

        He groans as he try to stay in a state of sleeping. "Asa..." This time, I brush my nose to his. He smiles and looks me in the eye. Ahh, he's blue eyes are so amazing.

        He fully opens his eyes and chuckles. We stared at each other for minutes until he asks me a question.

"What time is it?" "It's almost 11 o' clock." I answered.

        He looks at the ceiling as I stood up from my position. But he stopped me by pulling me towards him in the bed. We laughed at each other as he hugs me from behind.

"Can we stay here for a while?" He asks. "No dummy. I'm hungry for breakfast." I reply and he hugs me tighter.

"Asa, come on. We need to get food. I'm so hungry."

"Ok." He kisses my cheek then releases me.

"I'll wait for you outside." I said and he nods.

        I sat on the couch and saw some pictures my friends posted on their vacation. May was at her grandma's house. Lana was at the beach. Reign went camping with her family and Ana went somewhere where there is snow.

"Whatcha lookin' at?" Asa asked from nowhere, making me jump from my seat.

"Sorry, did I scare you again just like last night?" He smirks at me. "Whatever." I said and returned to my phone to turn it off.

"Shall we go get breakfast?" I asked.

"We shall." He holds my hand and went to the door. He locks it with the key card.

        We went to the elevator to go down to the lobby. Then we went to the dining area. Once I set foot inside, the strong scent of coffee can be immediately smelled. We walked to the counter to get breakfast.

"May I take your order?" The guy asked.

"Want do you want, Dianne?" Asa asks. I thought for a moment.

"Chocolate crepe with glass of milk please." The guy nods. "And you sir?"

"2 pieces of waffle please topped with cream cheese and orange juice."

        We sat on an empty booth as we wait for our food.

"Hey, I just noticed. Are crepes your favorite?" Asa asks.

"Maybe, why?"   "Well, you had crepe for dessert last night and now you have it for breakfast." He tells me.

        The waiter arrives and places our food in front of us. "Thank you." Asa and I said at the same. We chuckled at each other. We ate peacefully and had a small conversations.

        After eating, we went back to our room. "Oh, almost forgot." I start. "Mom said we'll leave at 3." "I'll fix my stuff later." He shrugs.

        We sat on the couch and watched some television. I laid my head on his shoulder then he laid his head on mine. He intertwines his hand to mine after. A knock on the door was soon heard. "Coming!" I shout and immediately went to the door.

        I opened the door and saw mom.

"Hey mom." I greeted. "Hi sweetie. Can I talk to Asa?" She asks. I raised an eyebrow and nod. "Wait a minute."

       I went to Asa and told him that mom needs to talk with him. He stood up from his seat and went to the door. I stayed in the couch and watched TV. He comes back holding a paper bag in his right hand.

"What's that?" I asked.

"Your mom gave me a souvenir." He replies and walks to his room. I shrugged returned back to watching TV.

2 hours later...

        It was lunch time. Dad drove us to a nearby pizza restaurant; it was called Francesco's Pizza House. We got a supreme all-cheese pizza. While we were eating, Asa intertwines his hand with mine. He squeezes it sometimes.

        After eating, we returned back to the hotel and fixed our stuffs. I placed my belongings neatly on my bags and went to my parents room.

"Do you got all your stuff, kids?" dad asked. Asa and I nod. Dad puts our bags in the trunk and we sat on the passenger seat. Dad starts the car and our trip back home starts.

        I checked the time on my phone; 3:15 pm. I put my earphones on my ear and phone then played my long road trip playlist. We sat in the car in silence as I looked outside my window.

Tom's POV [Dianne's dad]

        The time on the car shows 5:37 pm. We've been inside the car for 2 hours already. Traffic made the ride longer. Janet looked at the back and smiled.

"What are you smiling at?" I asked her.

"Have you seen the two behind us?" I looked at the mirror and smile.

"I knew that would happen." I said.

        Dianne's head was on Asa's shoulder and his head was laying on Dianne's head. They look like a great couple to be honest.

"Have you given it to Asa?" I asked Janet. "Yeah. I told him to give it to Dianne soon." I nod and drove.

We arrived at our house and Janet went to the door to open it, while I woke up the two.

"Wake up, lovebirds. We're here."
