Chapter 13

Dianne's POV

        "Bye Mom! Bye Dad! Bye Asa!" I waved goodbye to them and rode my bike to school. 

        "Hi Dianne!" I looked at my back and I saw Trey walking. "Uh, hi Trey." I said to him, stopping my bike.

        "You're just walking your way to school?" I ask. "Yeah." He continues walking while I pedal my bike slowly. 

        "I can give you a lift if you want to." I said to him. "You sure? Cause guys should be the one who gives the lift not girls." I look at him and raise one eyebrow.

"Ok." I stop and let him sit on the back.

        "You fine?" I ask him. "Yeah." He answered. I pedaled hard because the bike grew heavy. "You ok?" Trey asks. "Uh... its kinda hard." I honestly answered.

"Wait." He hops of the bike. "Maybe I should be the one who pedal the bike." He insists.

        I think for a second and agreed. He sat on the driver's seat and me on the back. He starts to move the bike and made our way to school.

        When we arrived at school, girls were giving me death glares. We stopped at the parking and people are still staring at us.

        "Thanks for the ride, even though I was the one who drove." He touched the back of his neck. "No problem, glad I could help." I smiled at him. He smiles back and I blushed.

        "So, uh, I will now head to my classroom. Uh... bye!" I start to walk away to him. "Guess I'll see you later?" He said. I look back at him and said "Sure." 

Classroom

        "Dianne!" May shouted across the classroom, catching the attention of our classmates. My friends hurriedly walked to me and showered me so many questions.

        "Dianne! Is it true?" Ana asks. "What is true?" I ask. "You and Trey arrived at school riding your bike?" May asks. "Yes." I answer. 

        "Oh my god! Are you two dating?" Reign shakes my arm. "What in the world? No!" I raised my voice. 

        "Class, what is going on here?" The teacher asks which catches our attention. We hurried back to our seats and the examination starts.

Lunch

         "Where's Reign?" Ana asks. "I don't know. She just said she's gonna get something on her locker." Lana answers.

"Dianne." May whispers. "What?" I ask. 

        She points behind me and I look back. I saw Trey approaching me or us and I immediately turn back to my friends. Shoot! Please don't come nearer. Stop there and don't come nearer.

        They were trying to contain their laughter while we eat our lunch. I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw Trey.

"H-hi Trey." I stuttered. "Is it ok if I talk to you? In private?" He asks.

        I turned to my friends and they signaled me to go. "Sure." I stand up and brush the dirt out of my skirt.

        We walk outside the canteen and sat on a table. "What are you gonna tell me?" I ask him. He inhales and speaks. "I was wondering if you want to be my... date for the... prom?" He slowly asks.

I looked at him for a while, thinking what should I answer.

        "I'm sorry Trey but I already got a date." I fiddled my fingers. His expression was disappointed. "Oh. Who is it?" he asks.

        "Remember Asa? The guy who you met when we were walking along the corridor." I explain. He thinks. "Oh yeah." He snaps his fingers.

        "At least I could be your first dance right? Cause the first dance is only for fellow students." He says. "Sure." I smiled.

        "I'm gonna go now. I haven't finished eating my lunch yet." I stood up. "Oh right, sorry." Trey said.

I walked back to my friends and Reign was there. They were talking about something important.

        I sat beside Ana and ask what they are talking about. "Reign was asked by Liam for the prom!" Lana squeals.

        "Where did you go?" Reign asks. "Trey talked to me." I simply answered. "And what did you talked about?" May asks and they come closer to me. I raise my eyebrow at them.

        "He asked if I could be his date for the prom." I continued eating my lunch. "Omg! What did you said?" Reign asks.

"I said no." "Are you kidding us Dianne?" Reign said in an angry tone. I shook my head no.

"So who are you going with?" Lana asks. "May told you already." I said.

"Asa? He's not even here!" Reign said, pointing around. I burst out of laughing. 

These two are gonna be so surprised when they see him.

Skip rest of school...

        I rode my bike back home and ate my dinner. I studied again for the upcoming tests then after studying, I chatted Asa.

Dianne: Hey Ace.

Asa: Hey D. 

Dianne: D?

Asa: Yeah, I picked that nickname for you just like what you did to me.

Dianne:  -__-

Dianne: How's Coldwind land?

Asa: It's freezing here but the view is amazing.

Asa: But I think the view is better there.

Dianne:  Because of the stars you see at the terrace every night?

Asa: Maybe... Maybe not.

Dianne: ?

Dianne: Then what?

Asa: You mean who.

Dianne: Then who?

Asa: It's you Dianne.
