Olivia's Story

Chapter 1

October 6th, 2017

Dear Diary,

I had a nightmare again last night. I swear they keep getting worse and worse. Marcus came in my room, again, last night. At least today is Friday. It's the last day of the school week and I get to go with my daddy for the weekend now that he's back from his business trip. I gotta get ready for school now. Bye.

I closed my diary and hid it.

I grabbed everything I needed for a shower and then went to take a shower.

When I was done I got ready for school. I got dressed then put leave in conditioner in my hair. "Olivia come on!", my momma shouted.

"Coming!" I grabbed my stuff then ran downstairs closing my door behind me.

...

"Look everybody here's the curly haired fat ugly duckling!", a girl named Amber shouted as I walked in the class. Everybody started laughing and saying 'Hi ugly duckling.' I quickly walked to my desk with my head down.

I swear I can't wait for school to be over.

I know I'm not ugly and fat but I'm starting to think that I am. I'm 5'4, light skinned, small stomach, big butt, and pretty.

...

My daddy just called me and told me that he was outside. "I'm gone!", I shouted.

"Bye baby!", my momma shouted. I walked outside with my purse and phone then went to the car locking the front door behind me.

I got in the car then me and my dad hugged. "Hey princess."

"Hey daddy, I missed you."

"I missed you too. Seatbelt?", my daddy asked.

"Yes.", I said.

After I said that we pulled off. "How's therapy?", he asked.

"It's okay."

"How have you been feelin'?"

"I've been okay, what about you?", I asked.

"I can't complain.", he said. We talked the whole ride to his house. I swear I love my daddy. I love spending time with him and staying at his house too. I feel safe at his house, I know I'm safe there. I like his wife too. I just wish him and momma could've worked things out.

I know it's short and it wasn't good but it will get better and be longer.
