Chapter 40

Somebody kissing me and sucking on my lip woke me up. "Happy birthday.", Trever said. I smiled.

"Thank you baby.", I said.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"Your dad wanna take you out to breakfast.", Trever said.

"Just me?", I asked.

"Just you."

"Oh, okay."

"I'll let you get ready.", Trever said. He kissed me then left.

Me and my daddy just got back from breakfast.

We were gone for a while, it's 12 we left at 9.

I had a good time. We talked about me when I was younger. I was such a baby. He told me that I was funny too. "I did not.", I said as I got out of the car.

"Yes you did.", my daddy said as he got out of the car. As we walked to the door I looked around but I didn't see Trever's car. Where is he?

After my daddy opened the door I went in and went upstairs to Trever's room. He's not in there. I got my phone out and called him as I walked to my room.

Trever:Hey baby.
Me:Hey, where are you?
Trever:Picking up you and Lauren's gift.
Me:Oh okay. I'll see you when you get back. I love you.
Trever:I love you too.

We hung up as I took my shoes off. I went downstairs to the kitchen. My daddy's in there on the phone. "Drop it off then you leave.", he said to whoever he was on the phone with before hanging up. He turned around and looked at me.

"What's up with the food?", I asked.

"Nia cooked.", he said. I know he didn't say what I think get said.

"Wait what?"

"I know you don't like her but I couldn't make all of the food, she made most of it, I got the rest. Trever's family is bringing food too." I just looked at him. "She's not staying." Food is food I guess and she do know how to cook.

"Okay daddy."

I'm sitting in the from with Cali waiting on my daddy to come back with Lauren and her family. "Do you think she'll like the stuff?", Cali asked.

"I hope so. I hope she can fit everything too.", I said. They just pulled up. Cali stood up and helped me up as a woman and my daddy got out the car. Lauren was next with a little boy. Me and Cali walked to Lauren and hugged her, she hugged us back. "Happy birthday birthday twin.", I said. Lauren smiled.

"Happy birthday birthday twin.", she said back.

"Happy birthday girl.", Cali said.

"Thank you.", Lauren said. "This is my momma and my brother."

"Hi.", me and Cali said smiling.

"Hello.", her momma said smiling. "Say 'hi' Jay.", she said to the little boy. The boy got behind her. "He's shy."

"That's okay. Come on in.", I said. We all went in the house. As we walked in people said happy birthday to Lauren. I introduced her momma to everyone.

Her momma talked to Trever's and Cali's mommas and we went to the back. Trever's playing one on one with Travis. "Foul!", Travis yelled.

"I didn't foul you!", Trever yelled.

"Yes you did!" The got in each other's faces. Oh shit. Travis pushed Trever and Trever pushed him back. Lauren, Cali, my daddy, and me started walking over there. They started wrestling. My daddy started jogging. If this man don't run. Trever got Travis to the ground. They started laughing as Trever held his hand out. We all stopped. Travis grabbed his hand and Trever pulled him up. They play too much. They started playing again.

"They play too much.", Cali said as we turned around.

"For real though.", I said. We went and put our feet in the pool. We started talking.

Everybody is singing happy birthday to me and Lauren. I feel so loved right now. Well I am loved.

After they stopped singing I grabbed Lauren's hand and we blew out our candles. "Time to open gifts!", Cali said. We all went to the living room. I really don't know why we didn't do this after eating cake and ice cream or before they sung happy birthday. Oh well.

"Lauren come sit next to me. You got gifts too.", I said as I sat on the couch.

"I do?", she asked.

"Yeah.", Cali said.

"Come sit down.", I said. She came and sat next to me.

"You first.", Lauren said to me after they put our gifts in front of us.

"Okay.", I said. I opened my stuff. I got money, shoes, gift cards, perfume sets, a new laptop, and cards. "Thank you guys so much. I love it.", I said.

"Oh yeah I got you something else too.", Cali said.

"What?", I asked.

"A membership to Planet Fitness.", she said. I just looked at her. "What? We gotta work out after my goddaughter get here."

"Girl I can't stand you.", I said rolling my eyes.

"Love you too.", Cali said.

"Now you Lauren.", I said. She opened her stuff. She got what we got her, a laptop, perfume sets, money, and cards. She got up and ran out of the room crying. Her momma and brother followed her with me and Cali right behind them. I'm guessing she don't like it.

"What's wrong?", her momma asked after we made it to her. She hugged her momma, her momma hugged her back.

"You don't like it?", I asked.

"I do I just never had a party or gifts. We could never afford it. I just feel special.", Lauren said. Me and Cali joined the hug.

"You are special Lauren.", I said.

Everyone's leaving now. I am tired as fuck. I had a great time though. Hopefully I don't be pregnant on my 19th birthday too. We'll really have fun then.
