Olivia's Story

Chapter 39

I'm getting ready for my baby shower now. I'm so happy. I can't wait to see what it looks like. Cali planed everything. I don't even know the colors. I'm just gonna wear white.

As I finished my hair somebody knocked on my door. "Come in.", I said as I turned around. It's my daddy.

"You almost done?", my daddy asked.

"I gotta do my makeup and get dressed, I'll be ready in less than 30 minutes."

"Okay." He was about to leave.

"Wait! Can you pick Lauren up?", I asked.

"Text me her address and tell her that I'm on my way.", he said.

"Okay." He left closing the door behind him and I turned around and started my makeup.

As I made sure I had everything I needed somebody knocked on my door. "Come in.", I said as I grabbed my phone off the charger. I turned around and saw Trever. I forgot he was wearing white too.

"Baby you look beautiful.", he said walking to me. I smiled.

"Thank you." We kissed.

"You're welcome. You ready?"

"Umm yeah, I think so. Oh is my daddy back yet?", I asked.

"Yeah, I saw him pulling up.", he said.

"Okay, I'm ready. Lauren is coming with us."

"Okay." I grabbed my stuff then we left closing the door and turning the light off behind us.

As we walked downstairs my daddy walked in closing the door behind him. "Where's Lauren?", I asked as we stepped down the last step.

"She stayed at the place with Cali.", my daddy said.

"Alright, I'm riding with Trever."

"Okay." We all walked out and my daddy closed and locked the door behind himself.

When I walked in my mouth dropped. It's beautiful. I almost cried. "Oh my God it's beautiful.", I said.

"It really is.", Trever said. Cali walked in the room on the phone snapping on somebody.

"I don't give a fuck! I told yo' ass Saturday not Sunday! If it ain't ready by the time I get there I swear imma fuck you up! Goodbye!" She hung up the phone and walked to a table. She fixed a center piece then looked my way. She smiled and ran to me. "Best friend!" We hugged. "You look beautiful."

"Thank you boo. This looks beautiful.", I said.

"I'm happy you like it."

"Where's Lauren?"

"In the bathroom. Everybody should be here in about 30 minutes.", Cali said.

"Okay.", I said.

While me and Trever talked his friend Jonathan walked up to us. "Let me steal him from you for a minute.", Jonathan said wrapping his arm around Trever.

"Bring my man back.", I said.

"Will do." Me and Trever kissed then they walked away. I turned around and saw Lauren sitting by herself. I went over there to her and sat down.

"You okay?", I asked.

"Mhm.", she said shaking her head. "I Just feel out of place. I don't know anyone here."

"Come on, I'll introduce you to everyone." We stood up and I started introducing her to people.

While I talked with Trever somebody touched my shoulder making us turn around. It's his parents and a few other people with gifts. His momma hugged me. I slowly hugged her back.

What the hell? Why are there here? Who invited them? Cali. Imma beat her ass.

I'm over them not accepting us and our baby but Trever isn't. "Why are you here?", Trever asked then.

His momma tried hugging him but he took a step back. "Why are you here?", Trever asked again.

"I told you.", his daddy said.

"Trever and Olivia we're sorry. We were being ignorant. We don't want you guys to hate us and we want to be in our grandchilds life.", his momma said.

"Fuck you!", Trever said before walking away making people look. I looked at Trever as he walked out of the building.

"Umm the gifts go there and we ate already but there's food left, help yourself to anything. Excuse me.", I said before walking away. I walked to my daddy first. "Daddy can you go talk to Trever? He's outside. Cali invited his family and he don't like that.", I said.

"Yeah.", my daddy said. I walked away and looked for Cali. I saw her talking to Lauren.

"Cali why did you invite his family? You know they aren't on good terms.", I said.

"What? I didn't invite them.", she said with her face scrunched up. She closed he eyes and huffed. "I think my mom did. I'll be back.", she said before walking away. I really don't want Trever to be upset today.

While I was laughing with Lauren some body wrapped their arms around me. It gotta be Trever. "Let me steal her from you real quick Lauren.", Trever said.

"Okay.", Lauren said. Me and Trever walked to his family. He started introducing me to them.

...

I'm sitting down as everyone cleans up. Not everyone that attended but my family, Cali and her family, Lauren, and Trever. Trever's family had to go.

I had a really good time.
