Chapter 26

It's about to be 3 in the morning and I'm still not asleep. I'm laying on Trever's chest listening to his heartbeat as he sleeps. Jayden's okay with him sleeping with me as long as we don't do anything and my daddy and Nia left yesterday so we're good.

I still can't believe I lost my baby, our baby. Like I can't explain how hurt I am. I know I can't let this bother me forever, I'll get over it. Maybe the timing was just wrong. If it's meant to be I'll get pregnant again. I hope I get pregnant again, not anytime soon though.

I sniffed and wiped my face.

I saw the hallway light turn on. What the hell? Why is Jayden still up? I wonder what he's doing.

I slowly got from under Trever's arm and got out of bed. I went into the hallway closing the door behind me. I went to Jayden's room and he wasn't in there. I went to the upstairs bathrooms and they were all empty. He must be downstairs. I went downstairs to the kitchen and saw him getting something from the freezer. He got my ice cream out. That's a no no. When he turned around he looked at me confused. "Why ain't you sleep?", he asked.

"Why ain't you sleep? Put my ice cream back.", I said.

"I don't see yo' name on it."

"Let me show you." He gave me the ice cream and I took the top off. I started licking it. He just looked at me with his mouth hanging open.

After I finished I smiled and gave it to him. "You nasty as fuck.", he said. I shrugged my shoulders.

"So. Still wanna eat it?", I asked grinning. He put the top on it and put it back.

"I'm goin' to the store."

"Get me-"

"Nope.", he said cutting me off and turning the stove on. He looked in the cabinets and got brownie mix out.

"You really fenna make some brownies at 3 in the morning?", I asked.

"Yup, brownies and ice cream." I sat at the island as he made the brownies. We talked about random stuff until he put the brownies in the oven. He left and I went back to my room.

I'm bored. Trever need to wake his ass up. He don't gotta work. I know what to do. Nah I'll let him sleep.

I got back in the bed and laid on him. "You alright?", he asked tiredly and putting his arm around me. I didn't know he was up.

"Yeah, I went to see what Jayden was doin'.", I said.

"Okay." I slowly drifted off to sleep.

...

When I woke up I was laying on a pillow and not Trever. Where is he? I got up and went to his room. I opened the door and saw him putting on a shirt. "Where you fenna go this early?", I asked.

"On a run and it's not early, it's 10.", he said.

"That's early and I wanna come."

"Okay, let me know when you're ready."

"Okay.", I said before leaving and closing the door behind me.

While I was putting his hair into two braids Jayden walked in. "Y'all fenna go to the gym or some shit?", he asked.

"On a run.", me and Trever said at the same time.

"Where?", Jayden asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

"On a trail not that far from here.", Trever said. Jayden shook his head.

"Okay. I probably be gone by the time y'all get back.", Jayden said.

"Where you fenna go?", I asked.

"Don't worry about it.", Jayden said as he left. I swear he so irritating with his ugly self. Let me stop lying none of my momma's kids are ugly.

"I'm done.", I said as I finished Trever's last braid.

"Thank you.", he said.

"You're welcome."

...

I stopped running and put my hands on my knees breathing hard. Trever looked on the side of him then he looked back and jogged to me. "Come on you can do it.", he said as he softly pushed me while jogging. I fell to the ground being over dramatic. Trever just looked at me as he jogged in place. "You are so dramatic."

"Can we please walk for a little bit?", I asked.

"Yeah come on.", he said helping me up. We started walking. "My mom called me this morning."

"What did she want?"

"I don't know, I didn't answer."

"Why not?", I asked.

"I don't wanna talk to her. If she can't accept us and our baby I won't talk to her.", he said.

"But I'm not pregnant anymore."

"You will be, if you want to of course."

"I do. Not any time soon though. You should call her back and see what she wanted.", I said.

"I'll think about it.", he said.

...

We just took a shower together, we didn't have sex or anything just a shower.

We're in my room talking now. "You ready for school?", he asked.

"Yeah, I'm ready to get it over with.", I said.

"Same." I just looked at Trever. "What?"

"Do you really love me?"

"With all my heart.", he said.

"Would you ever cheat on me?", I asked.

"Never."

"Do you think I'm beautiful?"

"Beyond that.", he said. I smiled. "Why'd you ask?"

"I don't know.", I said shrugging my shoulders. "I just wanted to know." He shook his head up and down. "Can I do your hair?"

"Yeah, let me get something to snack on first."

"Okay."

...

Trever sat between my legs as I braided his hair. He's scrolling through movies on Netflix. "Put on Honey Trap.", I said.

"Okay.", he said as he looked it up. After it came up me put it on.

...

"That's some fucked up shit.", he said as the movie went off.

"I know.", I said. I put on some music and started dancing for him. I don't know why, I just feel like it.

I looked back at him and he was smiling.

A slow song came on and I started grinding on him. He got hard.

I straddled him and started kissing him. He grabbed my butt and kissed me back. Things got heated from there.

"I love you.", he said.

"I love you too.", I said before kissing him.
