Olivia's Story

Chapter 18

We just made it to the church, that's where the funeral is. "You ready?", my daddy asked me.

"I think so.", I said. Me, him, and Nia got out and walked in. Olivia stay strong. You got this. It's okay. She wouldn't want you to break down.

We walked to her body with my brothers. Once my daddy saw her he broke down then me and my brothers broke down. Ricky and Nia took my daddy to a seat, Cali and Trever took me to a seat, Jayden's boyfriend took him to a seat, and Nathan's girlfriend and a cousin I think took him to a seat.

I'm surprised my daddy broke down. I didn't think he would. I thought he was over her. Well I guess when someone you really love dies you, break down.

Is that Emerald? No it can't be. I'm sure it's not her. I made sure nobody invited her. She hurt me. You don't do that to family or anyone.

I held my daddy's and Jayden's hands as the preacher talked.

Now we're putting flowers on her casket. They're about to put her in the ground. Me and my daddy and brothers are going last.

As I looked at the people put flowers on her casket I saw Emerald put roses on her casket. I know that's her. Nobody else looks exactly like my momma, not even me.

I mean you can tell that I'm her daughter though of course.

What in the hell is she doing here? I ran to her and attacked her as I cried. "I fuckin' hate you!", I yelled as I hit her. My daddy and brothers pulled me away from her. "You let him do that to me! You let him hurt me! You let him ruin my life! I trusted you! It's all your fault! I hate you!", I yelled as I tried getting out of my daddy's grip. "Let me go! Let me the fuck go!" People just looked at me confused.

"Princess calm down.", my daddy said.

"Why?! Why?! Why did you let him do that to me?! You're supposed to be my auntie!", I yelled. I raised my sleeves up and showed her my arms. "It's your fault! This is your fault! This is because of you! I hurt myself because of you!"

"I'm sorry.", she said with her hand over her chest as she cried.

"Get her out of here!", my daddy yelled. I turned to him and cried. He hugged me tight and rubbed my back. "It's okay princess."

"I ruined it. I'm so sorry daddy. I didn't mean to.", I cried.

"You didn't ruin anything princess. Continue the service."

I woke up to Cali sleeping next to me. We fell asleep in my bed together. I got out of bed and went down stairs. I hear people in the kitchen so I went in there. It's my brothers, my daddy, Ricky, and Trever. They said 'hey' and I said 'hey' back. "I hope y'all not in here messin' with my boyfriend.", I said walking to Trever. I wrapped my arms around his waist and he wrapped his arm around the back of my neck.

"We not, we just gettin' to know him.", Nathan said.

"You alright?", Trever asked. I shook my head saying that I was. We all started talking.

...

They told me that they liked Trever and I'm happy that they do.

Right now I'm writing in my diary. I know they won't go in it so I can write in here.

After I was done writing I took a shower, did everything I needed to do, threw some thing on, and went to sleep.
