Me and Trever haven't been getting along but we don't let that get in the way of our work. "What is this shit on your shirt Olivia?!", Trever yelled.
"What shit?", I asked confused.
"This white shit!" He showed me. What is that?
"I don't know what that is. It look like baby powder or flower or somethin'."
"No it look like coke!", he yelled. My feelings are real life hurt right now. Like I've been clean for a while and nobody even recognize it. Being clean is hard as fuck but I love my family more than I want it.
"Are you serious Trever?", I asked with a crack in my voice. "I've been clean for months and y'all act like I haven't been! You think that shit is easy?! It's not! Smell it Trever.", I said wiping the tears that fell down my cheeks away. He smelled it then looked at me.
"Oh, my bad." He put my shirt back down. I just looked at him. "What?" I got up and left his room. I went to Camillia's room and looked at her sleep. She's taking a nap.
"I been doin' this mostly for you Camillia. Imma keep goin' and stay strong even though it's hard and nobody recognise it. They just don't understand how hard this is for me. I'm sure they don't even care." I wiped the tears that fell down my cheeks and turned around. Trever was right there.
"I care Olivia.", Trever said. I rolled my eyes.
"What ever. You don't care just like they don't."
"I can't speak for them, I can only speak for me. I care and I'm so proud of you baby, I really am. You've been clean for months, almost a year. I'm sorry for not recognising it. I've been busy with work and these trips and shit. Come here." He pulled me to him. "Lets go celebrate."
"I don't wanna celebrate all you gotta do is tell me that you're proud of me here and there, that's all I want. Is that too much to ask?", I asked.
"No baby it's not.", he said before kissing my head. I wrapped my arms around him and laid on him. "I'm proud of you baby."
