Old Friends, New Beginnings || Peter Parker

Part 12 - "You look perfect tonight"

We open the doors to a gym full of dancing kids, and loud music. I look around to try and find Ned. While searching, I spot Liz with her group of friends. She gives me a mean glare and then walks away.

Peter taps me on the shoulder, "Look, there's Ned!"

I look over and see Ned standing next to a girl with curly dark brown hair. It was pulled back in a low pony tail. She had a flowery dress on and no makeup. We walk over to Ned and the girl.

"Hey Peter and Y/N!" Ned greets us.

"Hey Ned." I say casually looking towards the other girl.

"Oh, Y/N this is Michelle."

"Hey," Michelle says.

I smile oddly at Michelle.

"She's not much of a talker," Ned says to me.

I nod. Peter is looking around nervously.

"Are you OK?" I ask.

"What? Oh, yeah yeah I'm fine."

Peter, Ned, Michelle and I all dance around to fun songs that played. I was starting get tired and told Peter that I wanted to get some water he offered to come with me. We walked to the water cooler and I grabbed a cup and poured some water in it. I took a long sip and Peter grabbed a cup and did the same.

"All right kids, it's time for the slow dance, guys grab your girls and lead them to the dance floor"

Peter looked nervous and turned to me, he held out his hand and said, "May I have this dance?"

I chuckled lightly and grabbed his hand. He led me onto the dance floor as the song began to play. We got to the center of the dance floor and I put my hands on Peter's shoulders and he nervously put his hands on my waist.

I found a love, for me

Not knowing what it was,

"I will not give you up this time" Peter said along with the music.

I looked up at Peter and blushed. He gave me a warm smile.

Baby I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms

Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song

When you said you looked a mess, 

I whispered underneath my breath,

But you heard it, 

"Darling you look perfect tonight." Peter said with the music and looked straight in my eyes. I blushed hard and he laughed. I swear I melt every time I look at his eyes.

"So, Spider-Man, what did you do today?" I ask Peter.

"I woke up, and got ready for the dance." Peter replies, "But I couldn't stop thinking about you," He said shyly.

"Same here," I smiled.

We are still kids but we're so in love

Fighting against all oddsI know we'll be alright this time
