We landed on the ground right next to the bank. The police haven't gone inside yet. There were two police officers standing near their cars, three holding guns to the door, and one talking on a walkie-talkie.
Spider-Man and I run up to the ones near the car, "Hey what's going on?" I ask.
"Oh my god. You're Spider-Man and Gemini,"
"Yes, we are, now what's happening in there?" Peter asks.
"There's some physco in there demanding that he is owed a ton of money from some kid. He's holding the kid hostage and is threatening to kill him if we go inside."
"OK, keep him distracted, Spider-Man and I will find a vent to climb into the building. Just keep him distracted and we'll sneak up behind him,"
The officer nods and walks towards the guy with the walkie-talkie.
"A-Are you sure about this Gemini?" Peter asks nervously.
"Trust me, we'll be fine," I assure.
We run up the back of the building. Peter grabs onto my waist and shoots a web onto the top of the building. We swing up there and I quickly look around for a vent of some kind. I find one near the middle of the roof.
"Here, help me open this," I say to Peter.
"You're the one who has fire powers, melt the thing," Peter replies.
"Oh yeah," I say. I lift my hand and aim it towards the vent. I think of Flash and how mad he makes me. I feel my hand heat up and quickly a fireball flies out of it and hits the vent melting it. Peter then shoots a web and pulls it off. We both slowly climb down the vent and listen as a man is yelling.
We softly and quietly land inside the bank behind a man with a mask on. He's holding a boy, who looks our age. He has brown hair and beautiful blue eyes that look like an icy ocean. He has a red beanie cap on and a white shirt and dark jeans. The boy looks terrified to death.
"What's the plan?" Spider-Man whispers to me.
"I'm going to communicate with the boy, give me a second. Just make sure that man doesn't turn around." I whisper.
Spider-Man nods and goes to a desk to watch the man.
The man gets angry and throws the boy behind him. The man goes back to looking at the cops.
I focus on the boy and send him a message, 'Look to your left, slowly.' I tell him.
The boy looks shocked and slowly looks to his left. His face goes from scared to relieve when he sees me. He looks confused, 'How do I respond to her?' He thinks.
'I can hear your thoughts. Anything you think right now I can hear,'
'Who are you?' The boy asks.
'I'm Gemini, Spider-Man's partner. What's your name?'
'Liam. So where is Spider-Man?' Liam thinks.
'He's behind that desk,' I say nodding to where Spider-Man is hiding.
'OK, I need you to listen and do everything I say.' I tell him.
He nods to me from across the room, 'OK, Miss Gemini'
I smile, 'When Spider-Man shoots a web at the window next to that man, I want you to run over to where I am right now. Don't do anything else.'
'Aye aye captain,' Liam thinks.
I smirk and then send a message to Spider-Man, 'Shoot a web at the window next to the man, once you do that, the boy is going to run over to me, and I'll hit the guy with a fireball, you shoot a web and try to tie him up. If that doesn't work, then wing it.'
