I went to school hoping to not see Anthony but I did. He ran up to me and hugged me. People stared at us. Some looked shocked, some looked jealous, and some looked like they just saw the cutest thing.
"Hi Beth," said Anthony.
"Can we go somewhere private?" I asked.
"Umm sure," he said. He took my hand as we walked behind a classroom. People were still staring at us awkwardly.
"So umm.. I need to break up with you," I said.
"What?" he asked surprised.
"You're really nice and all but I can't date," I said.
"Oh," he said. Everything was awkwardly silent. The bell rang and he left without saying a word.
Some day I can date him I suppose or someone else. Someday I will graduate, go to college get married and have kids. Some day.
