Betty popped her head inside the lounge to find Veronica. "We're meeting on the bleachers in ten. "

Ronnie nodded, "We'll be there."

Seline looked over her shoulder to Betty in the doorway and grinned, "Yeah, we'll be there."

Betty flashed a quick smile at her friend, then stared at Seline before leaving.

"She'll come around to you, just like she did with me," Ronnie said, patting her sister's knee gently.

"I'm a certain taste to different people. To her, I'm just bitter. Let her be, there's no coming around." Seline pursed her lips before rising to her feet. "I'm going to find Cheryl. I'll meet you out at the bleachers."

Veronica opened her mouth to say something but Seline huffed. "Oh, don't worry. She'll come around to you, just like she did with me." Seline tilted her head at her sister then left the lounge, leaving her sister to scoff in disbelief.

Seline locked arms with Cheryl in the middle of the hallway, "So about earlier..."

"Water under the bridge, Sels." Cheryl's lips turned up in a smile, "Did, uh, Mr. Jones find his way out of here alright?"

"With no help from Ronnie. My gosh, my love life is already in flames here."

Cheryl shrugged, "I do think that the older man is the better choice of the two."

Seline smiled, shutting her eyes before running her tongue over her teeth, "We are legitimately failing that Bechdel test now."

"Let it go. Take a step back in history with me for a minute to fawn over boys."

The two girls walked out of the school and across the football field, talking about Jughead's dad until they reached the gang hanging out on the bleachers.

"Wow-ee, Kevin. Looking buff in the shoulders, how are you not on the football team?" Seline commented, leaning over the front rail of the bleachers before walking up the metal stairs.

The boy grinned nervously, sitting down next to Jughead. Seline looked over to the Jones' boy and waved a finger at him. He responded with a scoff and an eye roll.

Unfazed by his reaction, Seline pat Betty's knees and took a seat at the row in front of them. Cheryl followed her friend and flipped her hair over her shoulder, ready to listen in on the conversation.

"Who's Ms. Grundy?" Seline asked after her sister administered a low blow to Archie's self-esteem.

Cheryl and the rest of the crew looked at the oldest Lodge girl.

"What? I'm busy in my own things, okay?"

"With every man in town, already." Ronnie muttered between her fries. Seline shot her sister a look then back at Jughead, who was still not bothered to share the stare.

"And if I was? None of your business. Now, Ms. Grundy. Who is she?"

Betty sighed and Archie clammed up, both of them avoiding each other's gazes. Seline grinned devilishly.

"Ooh, a secret?"

"An affair." Cheryl mentioned, and Seline turned to her with an amused giggle.

"With Archie?"

The redhead nodded and Archie stared down at the two girls.

"Sorry." Seline muttered to the sophomore.

"I'm not. Ms. Grundy was a snake."

Seline glanced across the football field to her peers sprawled out for lunch. In the parking lot, she noticed a distinct beaten pick-up truck with its lights one. She glanced over her shoulder to see if Jughead noticed it, and when he did, Seline stiffened.

"What's my dad doing here?" He asked lowly, slowly rising to his feet.

Seline kept her eyes down, then reached to steal a fry from her sister. Ronnie raised her brows, watching Seline chew the fry carefully and down to a nub.

"Your dad?" Cheryl asked, only amusing herself. "The biker?"

Seline reached to kick at Cheryl's shin, her wide eyes staring down at the bleachers still. She could only assume that if Jughead found out about what she was doing with his dad, she'd never live it down. Jughead was one of her sister's friends that could get the rest of them to come around if anything.

Jughead ignored Cheryl, leaving the bleachers to walk across the football field. Seline lifted her head up to see him walk off to the parking lot, only to meet up with the dark-clothed man in the beaten pick-up truck.

"Jughead."

"Dad."

"I didn't see you this morning. D'you pack up already?" FP asked, shoving his hands into his pockets.

"No, uh, not yet. I got a rude awakening this morning." Jughead muttered, reaching to rub the back of his neck.

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah, that, uh, girl that asked for a cigarette last night? She came by this morning, with her sister."

"Is that so?" FP's eyes narrowed as he shifted one of his legs out.

"Yeah, brought me breakfast and everything."

"Huh." FP pursed his lips out while he nodded to what his son said. "Well you better watch out for those Lodges, they aren't any good," he said, though it stung his mouth to say it.

Jughead nodded to his father's advice, then narrowed his eyes at him, "I never said they were Lodges."

FP furrowed his brows, "I-mean, I assumed..."

"Yeah, right. Dad?" Jughead watched his brother shift his weight from one leg to the other.

"Yeah."

"Did you know the girl from last night?"

"No. Hell no." FP shook his head. "It's just...they, they all look alike."

Jughead felt that his father was making things worse for himself, "You know their mom?"

"Yeah, Hermione. She works at Pop's." FP shrugged casually.

Jughead stared at his father for a long moment, wondering if he'd budge anymore on knowing about the Lodges.

"So, you don't know their names?"

"Jughead. What's with the third-degree?" FP tried to keep his answers short just to keep the lie straight.

Jughead pursed his lips, "Nothing. Just...take care, Dad. I'll see you around."
