Seline woke up to the sun shining directly on her forehead. She squinted into the light, brought her hand up to shield her face as she scanned her surrounding. She could smell the stale scent of beer and the faded waft of nicotine in the sheets.

She sat up, too fast, and groaned. Seline brought her knees up to her chest and hid her face between them. She felt like she was going to be sick. She waited for a long moment, hoped that the room would stop spinning soon until she toppled over the edge of the bed and her hands found the edges of a trash can.

Seline buried her head into it, throwing up the remainder of punch from the night before. She felt disgusting, knowing that she was sweating through the entire night and now she was damp all around.

From where she sat, she could hear scraping noises. The more she thought about it, she could smell scrambled eggs. She gagged a few more times before standing up slowly.

Seline tiptoed slowly down the hallway, stopping in the bathroom to rinse out her mouth. After shutting off the sink, she overheard Jughead talking.

"Do you think it was a good idea to bring her here?"

She stopped, leaned against the doorway to overhear what FP had do say.

"Jughead," he began with a deep exhale. "I know that I was harsh on her that day at the station. And I know you don't like her, but she's not a bad person. She has a bad trait, but I'm sure you chalk that up to the family she's been raised in.

"You were raised, neglected by your mother and sister so I could make the same assumption about you. You could do the same to me."

"What're you talking about, Dad?"

"I'm just saying, I know you don't like her because of how things unfolded. I didn't help in the act either, but...I care about her."

"Are you serious?"

Seline heard FP scoff, then sit back in his chair. "Of course I am. She's good, in her own right."

Jughead hid a groan with a sip of his drink then pushed out his chair. "I gotta go. Don't let her sway you."

"Don't talk about her like that, Jug," FP said as the door closed.

Seline stood still in the hallway, leaning against the cool wall. She wasn't ready to leave, and now she wanted to talk to FP more. If he called her good, what did that mean?

Her heart swelled just as her mouth went dry. She raced back to the restroom and threw up in the toilet. If she could only breathe normally right now. Seline felt that she was hyperventilating and she couldn't understand why.

FP appeared in the doorway, leaning against it as he watched Seline hold back a few more gags. He sat on the edge of the tub, holding out a glass of water as he rested a hand on Seline's shoulder.

"Had a rough night?" He asked, a smile seeping through his tone.

Seline groaned, her hands bracing the cool porcelain. "Nope, it was magical."

FP chuckled lowly, "You did act like a jackass."

"But I told Cheryl Blossom off and that's what counts," she whispered. She felt FP run his hand down the back of her head, brushing down her bed styled hair.

"Dunno if that's what counts."

Seline exhaled deeply, closed the toilet seat then reached for the glass that FP offered. "She called you my boyfriend. And called me jailbait."

She took a sip of her water, wondering how FP was reacting. When she lowered the glass, he was smiling.

"Boyfriend, huh?"

"Ex-boyfriend as she put it." Seline set the glass aside.

He chuckled again, glancing away from Seline. "Like you'd ever want to date me."

Seline sat up and furrowed her brows. "Snakes shed the same skin."

"Did you just come up with that?"

She nodded, closing her eyes as she kneaded at her brows. FP reached and rested her head on his thigh. "I'm not good for you, Seline."

"That's what you say. I ruined all of your beer."

"And I threw a bottle at you. I hurt you."

Seline breathed in deeply, her arm curling around FP's ankle. "I still came back."

"And you should stop."

"I can't stop." Seline didn't know how to explain herself without sounding incredibly soft. "I care about you."

FP was silent for a long time, almost a half hour until he cleared his throat. "I care about you too. But that doesn't make us any better."

She wasn't going to beg, and if FP wasn't going to sway neither was she. What was the point of confessing these things without the resolution Seline hoped for? "I love you, Forsythe."

Seline soon fell asleep on FP's lap, and he carried her back to bed, refilling her glass of water and getting her a plate of toast.

Seline tossed as FP pressed his lips to her forehead and left the room. She slowly opened her eyes to the darkness of his bedroom, the door only cracked open.

She could hear rustling in the living room and slowly stood up to investigate. From behind the door, she peeked through the crack to see a tall redhead and black hair much like hers. The two were embraced in each other.

Seline let the door swing open, walking lightly to the end of the hall to confirm whom see was seeing. Her sister and Archie, between the couch and the coffee table empty of beer bottles.

"What're you two doing here?" Seline rasped, clearing her throat as she crossed her arms.

The two pulled away from each other in surprise and Seline raised her brow, unamused. She exhaled, waiting for a response before clearing her throat again.

"We're...looking for something that links FP to dad," Ronnie said, glancing from Archie to her sister.

"And you couldn't find anything, I assume? Otherwise, I doubt you'd be all over each other." Seline sat down in FP's recliner, almost right between Archie and Veronica. "What, you waited until he left?"

Veronica slowly nodded. Seline stared at Archie, "She talked you into this?"

Archie didn't say anything, but Seline glared back at Veronica. "How long has this been going on?"

"Which part?"

"You looking into FP."

Veronica shrugged and Seline scoffed. "Leave now and I won't tell FP."

Archie started towards the door without argue but Ronnie grabbed his arm. "Why're you even here?"

"Because he took care of me from your rager the other night."

"That's believable." Veronica rolled her eyes.

"I don't need you to believe it, but you still have time to leave." Seline sat back further in her recliner.

"Fine, we're leaving," Veronica pushed Archie towards the door. "But when dad gets out, you should get out of the way."

Seline watched as her sister left the trailer, getting comfortable in the recliner until a car pulled up outside. She stood up and opened the door.

"Sheriff Keller, what a surprise. Is everything alright?"

He glanced around Seline. "Is Forsythe around?"

She shook her head, "Why?"

"We got a tip that we should search this residence. Do you know where he might be?"

Seline shrugged, "And I don't know when he'll be back but I'm sure he doesn't have anything to hide."

"Whether or not that's true, I'll have to come back if he's not here."

"What was the tip on?"

"Jason Blossom's murder."
