"Now. You're probably wondering where you are, and what you're doing here." The figure stated as if she had forcefully dragged me here. "Well, we are an elite, secret society which digs, lives and thrives to destroy and crush THLOHE (The Huntington Laboratory Of Human Experiments).

"We call ourselves the outcasts because we all come from two backgrounds; ones where the scientists, or outside people as you call them, have lost interest in, and ones where they have accidentally and unintentionally discovered a dark secret about THLOHE. That's you, me, and a huge reason why most people are here today.

"Now that we're safe from cameras and general surveillance, you deserve to know what I look like."

The figure threw off her hoodie and cloth, to reveal a pretty Japanese girl. She had long, black hair, snowy, flawless skin, trendy ripped jeans, and a shoulder holed top that said "I'm me - deal with it" on it. She had black, scuffed boots and startlingly blue eyes. She looked about seventeen.

"My name is Yuki Osumi," she added. "I was a model from Tokyo, before I was kidnapped by a suited man, as seen on a video I was 'accidentally' fed," Yuki said "accidentally" with a dripping tone of sarcasm and irony, air quoting the word. "Well, I ran away from them, experiencing something similar to yours. After discovering an old cell, I founded The Outcasts, with E-1."

"The first experiment?" I inquired. "I would've thought he died."

"No, no, Tilly." Yuki said. "You see, every experiment is implemented with a power. I have the power to read and control minds, but only temporarily. The scientists hadn't finished their work on me when I ran, so I only have it slightly. E-1, he has immortality, so he can live forever."

"What power do I have?" I asked Yuki curiously.

"I don't know yet. We need to take you to our testing lab, to fully analyse your power."

"Okay." I agreed, and looked around. "Am I going to meet E-1?"

"Better than that," Yuki replied, smirking. "You're going to visit the main crew of The Outcasts."

Yuki yelled out an unintelligible word. Something of a secret language. Immediately other voices responded, some near, some far. The first person to appear was a brown haired girl, with long eyelashes and grass green eyes.

"Heya!" Yelled the girl. She had a western accent. I detected it was Texan. "Who's the new girl?" She asked, looking me up and down.

"This is Tilly," Yuki answered. "She is the newest member to our team."

"Okay. Hello, Tilly," the girl greeted. "Silly me! I haven't introduced myself. The name's Emily, or E-2900 as those scientists call me."

"I'll just call you Emily," I mused, smiling. A boy came forward, a look of disdain on his expression.

"Ugh. Why are we here again?" He groaned. "Hello E-3456," he sighed, rolling his eyes.

"How......what? I didn't tell anyone my experiment name."

"It's kind of written on your dress."

"Oh." I stared down at my dress, and indeed the words E-3456 where imprinted in harsh, unmissable letters. Hmm. Never noticed that before.

"Stupider than you look. Oh wait, you're a blonde. Typical." He groaned in an angsty, monotone voice. "Is this all we were called for, Yuki? I actually thought this meeting was worthwhile. If not, I'm off." The boy started to walk away. Suddenly, he hovered on the ground, and began to fly away like he was a wingless Angel. The strangest thing was, he seemed undeterred by this. Like it was no big deal.

"Hey, come back! Don't leave the meeting without permission, Jasper!" Yuki shouted to the boy. He turned around.

"That girl," he pointed at me, glaring in my direction like I was a piece of horse crap, "Is gonna be our ruin. Mark my words."

He proceeded to fly, or hover, away, until none of us could see him anymore.

"Don't mind Jasper," Yuki sighed. "He's often like that. Just ignore him. He's very angsty."

"Ah." I replied.

"Anyway, this is Isla." Yuki pointed to a shy looking girl who looked like me, except she was merely nine. As soon as my eyes locked on her, she hid behind her long locks.

"Come on, Isla," Yuki whispered. "Could you say hello to Tilly?"

Instead, Isla loudly screamed and cried, and sprinted away, her hair still covering her face. She ran until she turned a corner and disappeared.

"She's had a bad past," Yuki quickly explained. "She was abused by the scientists who cared for her. They implemented her with horrid images of torture, and then tortured her too. She is the only experiment without powers, that's why they did what they did."

"That's terrible," I shook my head. How can a small child be exposed to such terror? No one deserves that.

"Yeah. Poor Isla. So, that's the main crew," Yuki beamed slightly, changing the subject abruptly. "There's also Evan, but.......I'd prefer not to talk about him." A tear rolled down Yuki's cheek.

I nodded. "It's okay, Yuki. I'm sorry for whatever happened to him." I somehow knew that something bad had happened, but I didn't know what.

I saw Jasper's silhouette in the distance, and I could vaguely make out the smirk on his face.

He knew something.

And I was gonna figure out what.
