"Get up." The guard's rough voice echoed through out my cell as he kicked my foot harshly. I groaned, not wanting to endure yet another session that awaits me. "I said get up." The man growled as he grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and lifted me up off of the ground. "Now why would I do that when you've done it for me?" I retorted as I gave the man a closed-eyed smile. "Why you little-" "Now, now. We wouldn't want your master to be waiting would he?" I interrupted as I watched his once livid expression turn into one of terror.
With a huff the guard dragged me out of my cell and up to the room that I've spent my last few sessions in. The smell of blood hit my nose as I was thrown into a chair and left inside the small room of cool gray stone. The door closed with a click and I immediately began my plan of escape. Reese, the unholy man who runs this place of torture, doesn't arrive until half past noon, which by looking out of the small window located at the upper right hand corner and looking up at the sun's position, is in twenty minutes.
Which also means that I have only twenty minutes to get out of this place. Considering my present injuries, I may just as well be able to get out of this place within ten minutes. Now if I didn't have any complications then I would be able to get out of here in roughly six minutes, but of course, Reese just had to make it difficult.
I got out of my chair and quietly brought it over to the door. I then made sure to pile some of the heaviest items I could find and place it in the chair and around the door. I let out a huff of air as I brushed my hands together and brought some boxes over to the window. You see, an air vent lies over the window, and if I were to break the window and make it seem as if I went through there, well it'd buy me enough time to make my way through the vent ways and to freedom.
Now, you may be questioning how I am to do this with only five boxes, a crate, and a broken ankle, but you see, that's the part that they have to guess at. I set two boxes and the crate down in the corner where the window was, then I placed two boxes next to those and one box next to those ones. I carefully began to climb the boxes while holding a board I had found in the left corner of the room. When I reached the crate, I lifted the air vent trap up and moved it slightly out of the way. I took the board and hit the glass of the window, shattering it to pieces. After getting rid of all the glass, I tossed the board aside and carefully climbed into the air vent. I kicked the crate away from the vent with my good leg and closed the trap. Finally, I was close to getting out of this place.
