The ground beneath us shook violently as my anger got the best of me. How could he?! My soulmate, forcing me to mark him! I felt the earth beneath us groan and saw it split open. I gasped as Liam and I were pulled apart by the piece of ground below us. I looked into Liam's eyes, asking him what is happening.
Suddenly, the ground spread apart more, drifting Liam and me apart. I screamed as I felt a burning sensation come over my body. Cracks appeared beneath my feet, I could feel myself slowly falling. I felt a hand grasp my wrist and pull me up. I look up into Liam's eyes, silently thanking him. He gave me a sheepish smile as he whispered in my ear, "Calm down, I'm here now." I nodded and bit my lip as I reined in my anger, the ground joining once more. I turned back to Liam and gave him a soft smile. "Thank you."
