Dinner plans

Veronica's pov
I walk into pops and sit across Archie in a booth. "You are coming to dinner at my house tomorrow night." I tell him. "I can't I'm busy this week." He's tells me. "I. Don't. Care." I tell him. "My Dad invited, back in New York he didn't know anything about my life, and I didn't know about his." I say. "No agenda, I just want him to meet someone who's- who's important to me." I tell him. "In that cases I'll be there." He smiles at me.

Archie's phone went off and he looked at it. "Who's texting you?" I asked him. I tucks his phone in his pocket and looks at me. "No one." He tells me. He gets up and walks over to me. "I gotta go, I'll see you later." He say starting to walk away. "Archie!" I yell. And everyone looks at me. "Ronnie, shh." I he says as he walks over to me. "Where in the middle of a date right now." I tell him, and he just looks at me with a blank expression. "And then you don't even give me a kiss goodbye." I complain. He scoots me over a little and sits next to me. "I need to go, I promise I will call you later." He tells me. I put one hand in his cheek and one in his thigh and kiss him. Then of course his phone goes off. He stops kissing me and looks at me. "Just go." I say throwing me hand up in the air. He leaves and I pound my hand on the table.

I look out of the window and see Reggie's car pull up, then I see Archie get in.  "Oh my god!" I shouted.

I feel a tap on my shoulder and I quickly looks back, and it's pop. "I'm sorry pop. I'll leave before I cause customers to leave." I say laughing a little. I don't even know why I laughed Archie's being an ass.

I walk home and as soon as I get in the house I storm into my room and slam my door. "Do you need me to call Betty Mija." I hear my mom yell. I laugh a little. "No." I yell back.

My mom must of called Betty, because 20 minuets later I hear a small knock on my door. I open the door and see no other than Betty Cooper and her iconic blonde ponytail.

"So why are you so angry your yelling in pops." She asks me. "Pop called you too!" I yell.

"Ok calm down V, and just tell me what happened." She says calmly as I shut the door. "Archie he's an ass." I say falling backwards onto my bed. "What did he do?"she asks me. "He blew me off right in the middle of the our date. And it doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but like last week he forgot me at school after my cheer practice. And you know what he left me behind while we were walking home yesterday." I yell/complain. Betty looks at me like I'm crazy and that who I'm talking about isn't the boy who lives across the street from her, her whole life. "He's been forgetting about me every since he started that secret army, and yeah I know he's scared, but he's coming over for dinner tomorrow night. If he's not what I explain him to be or how amazing he actually treats me my dad won't approve, and that's all I want I love Archie so much, and he doesn't even know because he's so wrapped up in whatever is happening to this town. Yeah sure I've told him I've loved him before, but it was in the moment I haven't actually really really meant it... until now." I trail off. "He knows, he going through something and all you need to do is show up and be there for him." Betty tells me. "I've been showing up this whole time Betty." I yell. "Ok calm down. I'll talk to Archie. Before your two told me about your relationship at the homecoming up on that stage I saw the chemistry I knew there was something there. V your his world, have you seen the way that red head looks at you. He is trying to protect you it may not seem like it, but he is." She tell me. "What would I do without Betty Cooper." I ask her. "I don't know, but there's no Betty without Veronica and-"
"And no Veronica without Betty." I say cutting her off. We sit there and hug for like a good ten minutes.

"I gotta go V, Polly is getting scared and wants to leave riverdale because of that letter that was released in the mail." She tells. "Bye B." I say waving as she leaves.

Time jump
Archie's pov
I knock on the door if Veronica's apartment the next night. "Hey Archie, your early my parents aren't even home yet." She tells me. "I know, I feel like we should have a talk about us." I say to her. Her face drops. "Are you breaking up with me because if you are I will hate you forever Archie Andrews." She yells at me. "No! No! God no, I would never break up with you." I reassure her.

"I waited to talk about how I have been acting this past couple of weeks." I tell her. "Like how you left my at school after cheer last week, or how you left me behind when we were walking home together a couple days ago, or how you left right in the middle of our date last night. Oh and even-"

"I know I've been forgetting you a lot Ronnie. There has been so much stuff in my head lately." I say cutting her off. "Arch you can talk about it to me, but your just deciding to make a secret army and for get about me along the way." She yells at me.

"I'm sorry Ronnie." I say to her. I wrap my arms around her and hug her tight.

Her parents walk through the door as soon as we finish our talk. "Archie Andrews the boy who stole my daughters heart." He says gesturing to shake my hand. "Daddy." I Veronica says to him. "No it's fine Veronica, nice to meet you Mr. Lodge." I say shaking his hand back. "No please call me Hiram." He tells me.

Veronica shows me where to sit and I pull out her chair for her. I help her push in her chair than I sit down.

While I'm waiting for food I get nervous and bounce my knee up and down. I feel Veronica's hand on my knee then in my hand. "Don't be nervous." She mouths. "Mrs.Lodge it the food looks so good." I tell Hermione. "Thank you Archie." She says back to me.

As dinner went on there was some casual talk, but nothing much. After we finish I Thank Mrs. lodge. "Archie before you leave let's have a talk in my office." He tells me. I nod my head yes and start to get up. "Here I'll come." Veronica says probably trying to protect me. "No Veronica." Her Dad says sternly. "I'll be fine." I mouth to her.

"So no more sneaking into my daughters bedroom." He says shutting the door. I just nod my head. "So I heard that you have an army."  He says to me after I minute of silence. "Yeah, I can't protect the people I love just doing nothing. I can't just sit and wait for the next attack." I tell him. That good. Fight fire with fire, fight terror with terror." He tells me.

We talk then leave his office to see Veronica impatiently waiting for me.

Veronica's pov
I impatiently wait for Archie pacing back and forth outside of my dads office wondering if he scaring my boyfriend away.

Archie walks out with a smile on his face. "Everything went ok?" I ask grabbing his hand. "Yeah." He tells me. "So do you want to come to pops with me and finish that milkshake I cut you short on yesterday." Archie whispers to me. "Yeah I would." I say smiling.

"I'm going to go with Archie to go get a milkshake. I'll be back in an hour or so." I say to my mom before I leave.

We get to pops and me and Archie slide into the same seat in a booth. He wraps his arm around me and scoots me close to him. We order one chocolate milkshake are share it.

After than Archie drops me off and I fall asleep knowing that me and Archie are ok.

Archie's pov
After I drop of Veronica me and the foot ball team gather. We make a video for "The black hood." The last words I say are "we will hunt you, we will find you, and we will hurt you."

The ending probably trash and this was supposed be posted like last Thursday, so I'll probably be posting another chapter tomorrow
