New Year Not So New Me

Veronica's pov
So today me and Archie are just going to have just a chill day at my house, to make up for those few days we had lost due to the small but heartbreak filled and tragic break up.

I wake up to the comforting smell of Archie. I was wrapped up in Archie's big shirt. For once I wake up before Archie, but I'm not like Archie and wait till he wakes up. I'm going to wake him up.

I sit up and kiss him in the cheek, but he doesn't wake up. I messed with his hair, and tried to be nice but he didn't wake up. I take the pillow besides me and wack him in the face with the pillow and he shoots right up. "What's wrong!" He yells.

"Nothing is wrong, but there is going to be something wrong if you don't wake up." I say pushing him a little. He starts to poke me and I laugh and try to hide in the blankets. He then wraps his arms around me and hugs me tight.

"I give up on trying to wake you up, I've tried but somewho-" He kisses me interrupted me. "Ew morning breathe Archiekins." I say. "I love you Ronnie and all your weird things." He says.

"I love you too Archiekins and how you don't wake up no matter what." I say laughing. I just lay in Archie's embrace for a little while. "Alright Archiekins its time to get up and do things, your taking me to pops." I say sitting up and smiling.

"So I'm paying is basically what you're saying?" He asks me. "Yeah, because I'm your girlfriend and you love me." I say smiling and hoping he'll buy me pops. He laughs at me and sits up and smiles hinting that he's going to buy me some pops.

We get ready and head to pops. The bell rings and pop turns his head towards us. "I haven't seen you two in here together alone in days." He says to me and Archie.

"Yeah. It's been a rough week for us, but now we're back and better than ever." I say grabbing Archie's hand and lacing my finger through his. "Do you two want your regulars?" Pops asks us. "Yes and thank you pops." I say.

Me and Archie go and sit in our regular booth, which is the booth were we first met. "Soo Archiekins, me and you are throwing a New Years party, on New Year's Eve. And before you say anything no; no's, buts. We're doing it to celebrate the new year and those 3 words we've said to each other." I say smiling.

"Ok let's do it at my house at 8:30pm, my dads going out of town to go see my mom up in Chicago." He tells me. "This is going to be the best party ever." I say talking with my hands.

"Here's your order." Pop says handing me and Archie our food and double chocolate milkshakes. Almost like always I can't finish my food so Archie ends up eating the rest, then like always he walks me home.

We walked around for a while till it got too dark. We stop at my door. "I'll see you tomorrow?" I ask him. "Yeah after my dad leaves I'll have you come over and we'll decorated and get stuff ready, and we'll host our first party as a couple." He says making me smile.

"Good Night Ronnie." He says pulling me close. "Good night to you too Archiekins, till tomorrow." I say. "Till tomorrow." He's says back. "Love you." He says to me. I say it back and pull him in for a kiss. "I gotta go inside before I lose a body part, plus gotta burn that midnight oil if it's going to be ready by tomorrow."

"Go work your magic babe." He says as I walk inside. I walk inside and take a shower. After my shower I get into pajamas and work my New Years magic.

Next thing I know I get a text from Archie in the morning saying it's go time. "Shit I over slept." I whisper to myself. I text him that's I'll be there in 20 but it'll probably take me longer than that's.

Archie's pov
Ronnie is always on time or early so I was surprised and a little bit worried that she wasn't at my house when she said she would be. Till like an hour later I get a knock on my door.
