I thought we were a family

Archie pov
When I get to the hospital I check in and go straight to my dads room. I get there and there's no doctor or nurse there to inform me on his current condition.
I sit there for an hour and there's no change. So I get up and leave saying goodbye to my dad. I get home and lay in my bed and fall asleep.

Veronica's pov
I wake up in the morning feeling fine. I kinda have a little bit of a sore throat, but not bad enough to stay home from school again. You can tell I'm sick by the way my voice sounds like I was sick. When I walk out my dad is putting stuff in his office. I don't know what's even in there. It's been 3 days and he's already keeping secrets from me. He says it's none of my business. I grab Archie's jacket and slip it on before heading to school. My dad looks at me and huffs and rolls his eyes. Before he can say anything I slam the door and head down to the lobby.
Pretty close to the school I see Archie red hair and muscular structure. "Archiekins!" I yell walking up fast to him. He looks at me and smiles and kisses me. He puts his arm around me. "You seem happy archiekins." I say. "I went to bed super early last night and I get to see you today." He tells me with a big goofy grin. "I love that big goofy grin of yours." I say smiling. I grab his chin and kiss him. We walk into the school hand in hand. "V!" I look and see Betty smiling. "B!" We run to each other and hug. We look at each other and started laughing. "Look it's V&B some of the hottest and darkest girls in school." I look behind me and see chuck. "Shut it chuck." I say coldly. "Whats a matter V is Archie not the job? Is he not enough?" I clench my fist. "Chuck leave her" Archie says coming to my rescue. "Andrews back off, we all know Veronica that's type of girl who can't be held down by one guy. You should know that by know." He says to Archie. I can see Archie get. "Hay Archie, it's ok let's go. He's not worth it I say grabbing his arm."  As we start to walk away he says something. "He's probably to dumb to know that she will sleep with any guy that's hot." I then feel like I'm going to cry, but I hold it in. She right hooks him in the face. They then tackle tackle each other to the ground. "Archie." I yell. "GUYS! Break it up my office now!" Principal weatherbee says storming out of his office. They head into the office.

Archie's pov
I walk into the office and sit there. I feel my lip and it's bleeding a little. "I don't know what happened out there. Would one of you explain." He says sternly. "He was calling Veronica a slut, I was about to leave it and so he called her a slut again. Then I lost my cool." I say. "Mr. Clayton that was your last straw you are now suspended for the rest of the year." He tell him. Chuck gets up and slams the door. "And as for you archibald if I ever catch you doing something like that again there will be real consequences ." He says. I get up from the Chair and leave. I walk through the door and see Ronnie waiting for me. "Look at your face." She says touching it. I close my eyes in pain. "Ok archiekins, let's go get you some ice so that doesn't swell up." She says kissing me quickly.
We sit in the student lounge and she puts ice on my face. I hold it and lay my head in her lap. "Aww you guys are the cutest." Betty says walking in. "My OTP!" She says loudly. Veronica laughs at her a little. "What's OTP." I ask. "Only true paring." Veronica says moving my hair around. "Thanks Betty." I say while Veronica continues to play with my hair. "So Betty, remember that hugs cabin that I have that's like a couple hours away?" I ask her. "Yeah, form when were kids." She says. "I'm thinking that the four of us should go there tomorrow after school. And spend The weekend there." I say. "I'm so down." Veronica says excited. "I need to get away from my father." She says. "I just need to tell my mom and I'll go." Betty tells me. "We're going to have to text jughead." I Betty tells us. "Yeah!" Veronica says.  "We're probably going to get there late." I tell them.

After the hour is over we go to our classes.

Veronica's pov
After class after class me and Betty have cheer practice. We are still working on this routine we're be and Betty have to do a cartwheel into a front walk over in unison. We have been able to end at the same time. After like our 10th try we're given one more try to do it or where not doing the routine at all. We do it and then look at Cheryl. "You guys got it." She tells us. We look at each other. I run over to Betty and jump. She catches me and we laugh. "V, your so light." She says amazed. "Well yeah I'm only 5"1" I say. She sets me down and we get let go from cheer.
When I walk through the core doors I see Archie waiting. "Walk with me?" He asks. He grabs my hand and starts to walk.
Before I go into my apartment we stand in front of the door and talk. "Archie what happened to you today with chuck?" I ask holding his hand. "The things he was saying about you weren't true, your not a slut. I don't want anybody thinking that about you, because it's terrible. Me and you have a good thing going here and rumors that your a slut will make people think otherwise. I love you and don't want you to get hurt." He tells me. "Oh archiekins." I bring him into a huge. "No one not even chuck will ruin what we have." We start to kiss then my dad comes out side. "Veronica. Inside now." He says sternly. "Bye Archie." I kiss him on the cheek and go inside.
We get inside of the apartment and see my mom. "What have I told you about that boy?" He asks me. "Actually nothing. I wasn't included into the conversation like most of the time." I cross my arms. "And what is such the big problem with Archie anyways. I can't still be about what happened in high school." I say. He just stands there and looks at my mom. "Oh my god it is about high school. Nothing even happened between them besides a high school relationship and a kiss this year. It's not that big of a deal nothing happened." I yell. "But you know your guys personal life's always come back to me and affect my life. Have you ever thought about me, how things might affect me. Like your drug company. My friends father tried to commit suicide, because of you and her mother thought I was the bad person. And now you mom the mistake you made is now costing me the person I love. Archie's father just got shot and I'm trying to be there for him, but what you did is so unforgivable I'm not able to do that very well. And Dad give it up." I start to walk to my room. "I thought we're supposed to be a family." I mumble. "Mija." My mom says softly. "No. Im going to pack a bag for the weekend, because I'm going on a trip with Betty and jughead and Archie." I say. "I'm leaving tomorrow after school. You guys probably won't even know I'm gone, because your to busy hiding secrets. And when I everyone finds out, I'm not going down with you again." I say then slam the door.
I come out of my room not to long with all of my stuff. "Where are you going." My mom asks. "I'm sleeping over at Betty's." I lie. Truthfully I'm going to Archie's sense his house is empty. And his mom won't be down until next week. I leave and walk take a taxi to Archie's. When I get up on the porch I find the spare key and unlock the door. I walk up stairs and hear Archie playing the guitar and humming a melody. I quietly open his door. "Hay red troubadour." I say. "Ronnie what are you doing here?" He says looking surprised. "Spending the night." I say. "Really!" He says sounding excited. "Yep." I smile. He sets his guitar down and walks over to me. I wrap my arms around his waist and look up at him. "Me and my parents got in an argument. Things are not really good between us." I say. "Well your welcome to stay here." He says. "Thanks." I look up again and we kiss. "So do you want to invite the gang to pops for dinner and a milkshake?" He ask me. "Only if your buying." I say jokingly.
Jughead and Betty both said that they'll come so we headed out.
When we got there jughead and Betty were both sitting at a booth. "Archie what happened to your face." Jughead asks. Archie didn't say anything. "He was stupid to listen to chuck and got in a fist fight." I say. Jughead and nods his head and starts to eat. "Are we all on for this weekend?" Archie ask. "Yeah." The 3 Of is say. "Great. Just pack a swim suit. And some warm clothes for late at night." He Jughead and Betty, because he had already told me.

The next day (this chapter is going to be pretty long)
Archie's pov
In the morning me and Betty pack my dads truck with our bags we're going to have to pick up Jughead after school.
We all pile into The truck so I can drive to school.
Once we get to school every one is standing around Veronica's locker. Flashes of peoples phones we're going off and the sound of the camera.
Once I get closer I can see what's on her locker. It's covered it blank papers and has slut written in all caps written in pig blood. Where the hell does this person keep getting pigs blood. She goes to rip it off and I grab her. She tires to push me away, but can't. "It's just spray paint." She says. "Veronica, we both know that's not spray paint." She stops fighting and runs to the girls bathroom and Betty follows. I stand in front of her locker. "No more pictures, who ever the hell keeps doing I'm going to find out." I yell. Everyone flocks away. I carefully rip down the papers without getting any thing on my hands. I throw it in the trash and go wait for Ronnie.

Betty's pov
I ran into the bathroom after Veronica. She turns over to me and hugs me. "V, your not a slut." She says. "I know, but it hurts so much." She says crying. "I know it does." I know from experience, the same thing happened to me when I made the newsletter for the blue and gold. "Who cares what one person thinks about you. Me, Archie, jughead, your mom, pussy cats... and many more love you. That one person and chuck think that of you. To a lot of people there no ones." I say. She hugs me once more and looks at me. "Thank you, I love you B." She says. "I love your too." I tell her back. She touches up her makeup and walks out. She walks out and sees Archie and gives him a hug. I can see Archie tighten his grip a little. I'm so glad Archie had told me he only loved me as a best friend, because I would still be pinning after him. I would be in a relationship with jughead, and Veronica and Archie may have never happened.

Veronica's pov
After school Fridays we never have cheer and Archie doesn't have football. So as soon as the bell ring we pack up homework and leave right away to go pick up jughead. Me and Archie sat up in front and Betty and jughead shares the back seat. 
After a little while of diving Betty is laying across the back seat with her head laying in jugheads lap, and jughead is laying his head on the window sleeping. We have a long drive ahead of us.

This is a really long chapter to make up for all those really short ones I had made before. I hope you like the chapter. Today I ordered a team Veronica shirt off of Betty and Veronica (website) and I'm so excited to get it. My life is almost complete. Riverdale is starting so soon am so excited for it you guys don't even know. I feel like Veronica and Archie are going to last the season, and if not I'm going to cry for a week start.
