Veronica's pov
The week end after that Friday me and Archie broke up was... words I can't even describe. I was just a mess. Than Monday rolled around and I needed to pull it together and return the ice queen I appeared to be.

I had Betty over before we went to school. I was going over my secret Santa and the rest of the presents I had bought. "Kevin's Secret Santa had a strict 20 dollar limit V." Betty tells me.

"Kevin needs to relax, also these aren't just for secret Santa obvy. I got my mom an armine scarf, a leather passport case for my dad now that he can travel again, and a little something for my best girl." I say running hand along the present.

She laughs a little. Then I get to my last present, Archie's present. "And a bobble for Archie." I say.

"Because you're getting back together?" She asks me knowing this break up has been hard for me. "Because... it was purchased pre-break up, and haven't you heard we're still friends." I say putting my hands on my hips.

"Oh yeah, isn't everyone?" She says smiling, because she knows that I don't want to be just friends with Archie and it hurts to see him. Plus she broke up with jughead too. I look at her and sigh.

We get to school and we all sit in the student lounge and give each other gifts. "Veronica it's your turn." Kevin says to me. "Hmm." I say picking up my gift. I turn it over and read it. "Oh a gift certificate for a couples massage." I say looking up and Archie awkwardly.

"Thanks Josie." I tell her. "You can go with Betty or your mom." She says.
"Or I can go with your mom." Reggie says trying to lighten things up.

"Dear god can you please get this torture done with." Cheryl says, because all of a sudden things got awkward and uncomfortable for everybody because me and Archie's Break up.

"Betty you're mercifully last." Kevin says to her. I can tell by the wrapping that it's Archie, because it's messy. Before we broke up I helped him wrap a present to mail for his mom. He couldn't do it so I did it for him. 

"I can tell who picked my name by the wrapping skills." She says  smiling at him. He than looks at her and smiles. It all seems flirtatious. I furrow my eyebrows and watch them look and smile at each other. It's an old song book, it was a sentimental gift. I watch carefully, "Swiss Family Robinson?" I ask judging. She than starts saying something about their past and I kinda just end up tuning it out.

We leave the room and I go to class, I bring Archie's gift and stop him on his way out of class.

Archie's pov
"Archie I got you a little something." She says standing in front of me handing me a little box. "Thanks, I didn't realize-"

"Oh no no. It's all good just open it." She says with a smile at the end. I open it and see a very very nice watch.    "Ronnie this is-"

"Turn it over." She says smiling. I turn the watch over and read the engravment. It reads "mad about my Archiekins xo. V"

I missed her when I read it. I missed everything about her, her smell, smile, laugh, kisses, he hugs that made me feel like I was on cloud 9.

"I got it before..." she says stopping. "I don't want things forced between us." She tells me. I sigh looking at the watch. "What?" She asks me. "Did I make it worse, I just wanted you to know that I still care about you-"

"No you didn't." I tell her. "Things at home aren't great right now." I tell her. My dad has been having money problems, because of the medical bill. But me and Veronica aren't dating so it's not her problem anymore. "It's my dad." I say. She nods her head. "Anything I can do to help?" She asks me?
