Well, to put it lightly, it wasn't a very pleasant walk to Angela's tent. Everyone kept avoiding me. Whenever the children saw me, they ran the other way. Woman would purposely steer themselves away from me. Grown men who looked like they could end my miserable life with a weak push from their pinkie would look up from their work, their eyes would light up with surprise and f, and then they would quickly put their head as low as it could go while still looking like they were working; all in order to avoid me "very intimidating-self." I saw a blacksmith do this, and he put his face so close to the white hot metal he was working on he almost burned half his face off, made a permanent mask of steel, and almost poked his eye out with his out own hammer!
The elves followed me everywhere, and I didn't mind; at first. I soon became annoying. They pointed in the direction that Angela's tent was and we marched from their. That wasn't the problem. The problem was is that they said that they would show me and take me to her tent. They weren't leading, or even showing me anything! They were following me like I was their mother hen! I didn't find this enjoyable. The next major problem is that I knew they were talking about me through their minds. I can't tell you how I knew, I just knew. It was odd. I had never had such a strong feeling in my life that people were talking about me than on that particular day.
So, in any case, when we finally reached Angela's, you could tell it was most definitely hers. It kinda a dirty, brownish green that almost sicked you. Their was a potion in a cauldron boiling over a very lively fire right outside of it. I couldn't help but think to myself that if the fire department had seen this, she would have been asked to move the cauldron away about 30 feet. This thing was so close the tent, I swear I could see the tent sweating! Her tent had this weird smell about it too. I don't know what it was, maybe some type of herb or fungi? She was sitting on a stool next to a table outside the tent cutting....... maybe a root of some sort? When she heard us approaching she looked up and smiled (the one person who had ever done that and would give any type of eye contact!).
"Hello," Angela said to me, not even acknowledging the elves behind me. I liked her already! "To what do I own this wonderful surprise visit!" It was really more of a statement than a question. "Well," I told her, "I came to thank you for yesterday." "What for?" "You stopped the whole 'question the girl to death' thing, you're the only one who has shown me even the slightest hint of sincere kindness so far, and you kinda saved me from falling on an angry dragons head. Yay......... I don't know if that would have ended well for me." "Well.......... YOU'RE WELCOME!" That freaked me out a little bit. That was way too cheery. I stepped to the side awkwardly, trying not to slip and fall again like what had almost happened yesterday.
She looked at me with a smile, a puzzled look glided across her face, and then she smiled again and said, "Come, sit with me. I have a question for you." "Okay?" That puzzled me, now I was getting a little worried. She put all of the things she was cutting in a basket, placed on the ground by the small table, brought out another chair, and patted it for me to sit down in it. I sat down, feeling very strange and awkward, and then she sat down in the chair across from me.
"So, what's your question?" "When I was catching you from your fall, I saw myself playing an instrument of some sort. My hands were moving, and I was playing a song while staring at my hands that were pressing these....... things that was making music. And then somehow I was reading this paper with dots and lines and strange pictures." "You saw that too!!!!!!!!!!!" I was extremely surprised and.......... yay, you get the picture. "Yes, I saw it. What was that thing?"
I shook my head, and honestly I found this conversation becoming exceedingly stupid. I had to explain to a witch what the heck a piano was! Normally that's my piano teachers job!!!!! And even then she's just explaining how to play it, not what it is!!!! This is an object that I grew up with and I knew a lot about, but I didn't know how to explain it! How was I going to explain what a piano was? I honestly didn't have a clue. What came next was a terrible description of what a piano was.
