"Last one of the day, sir. He should be in any moment."
"Thank you." I dismissed my receptionist and continued altering the settings on my camera. I zoomed in on the backdrop it faced, then zoomed out.
Once I had gotten the call that a modeling agency wanted me to shoot the pictures for their next magazine, my heart literally almost stopped. I couldn't believe it. I'm standing in a professional photographer studio after taking pictures of fifteen models earlier today, with one more to go, and I still can't believe it.
Damn, the models here are extremely good looking. Not just the girls; the guys are dead gorgeous, I'll be honest.
But when the last one walked in, my jaw dropped.
The model walked up to me, broad shoulders back and his back straight. He had perfect posture. He smiled at me, and I swear I drooled a little. "Hi, I'm Kim Seokjin." He extended a hand.
Snap out of it! "H-Hi," I greeted back, my face most likely bright red. I shook his hand.
"You must be the new photographer."
"Uh, y-yeah. Kim Namjoon. I look forward to working with you, Mr. Kim."
He side smiled. Ok he's not even trying, holy crap. "I'm not a fan of formalities."
"Ah, sorry...Seokjin."
He still looked unsure. "You may call me Jin."
I nodded at him. "Jin." I cleared my throat. "Is it okay if you start now?"
He laughed a little. Was it something I said? "I'm guessing you've never done this before?"
I fiddled with the buttons on my camera. "That obvious?"
"No, not at all." The sarcasm was clear as crystal. He stepped in front of the camera, so close he almost touched it. "Don't worry about it. Nothing to be embarrassed of."
That was the moment I realized how hot my face felt. My guess is it was red and getting redder by the second when he stood that close.
"Firstly, you don't listen to me; I listen to you. You can make me do anything you'd like me to."
Why is my mind so perverted? "Noted," I responded, my voice cracking.
"Secondly, it can be awkward since we're just staring at each other. Act like it isn't. Even if it is."
"Okay."
"One last thing: do your best. If you're really good, then show everyone what you've got."
"Thank you. You're very nice."
"You are welcome." He turned away to take his place in front of the gray backdrop. "It's so boring. Can't it be pink?"
I chuckled. "Pink?"
He looked at me, smiling. "Don't judge me. It's my favorite color."
I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Ok, so it's not the most masculine color in the world, but I don't care. I like it."
"I didn't say anything."
"But you definitely thought about it. Anyway, what's first?"
"Well, your manager said he's going for a 'serious and business' look."
He sighed and crossed his arms. "Alright."
"Something wrong?"
