"H-Hey! Stay with me!"
It hurt like hell. I didn't want to keep my eyes open, but I didn't close them in fear they wouldn't open again. I lay on the cold ground, staying as still as possible, for even the slightest movement of my hand was too painful to handle.
"Keep fighting, Namjoon! Please!" There was Hoseok.
Two hands pressed down on my stomach, right over my wound. I screamed through gritted teeth, finding it difficult to breathe. Yoongi groaned in frustration. "Breathe, dammit!" I wanted to push him off, to get his hands off of me and suffer through the pain until it subsided. But I knew he was only doing it to keep me alive longer. And the pain was too overwhelming for me to even think of moving.
"Where the hell is Jimin?!" Yoongi growled. "Hurry and give me your jacket, Hoseok!"
"Here!" The pressure abated and my shirt was cut in half with a knife. My bare abdomen, suddenly revealed to the cold air, was covered again by a different, heavier fabric. Pressure came again, this time harder. I screamed.
"What about Jin? He didn't look too good when we left him," Hoseok said.
What? They left him behind with that thing?! "J-Jin-" I croaked. The angel had become family after the few months spent with us. I gave him the nickname unintentionally, but it stuck. He had accompanied us on many hunts; he's a natural. And with his supernatural abilities the monsters hunted could be taken down in a fraction of the time it took before. I've grown to truly care about him. How could they leave him there, defenseless?!
Yoongi grinned worriedly down at me. "Hey, Namjoon. There you are. Keep talking to me."
"Wh-Where's...J-Jin...?"
"He's back at the house."
My emotions-mostly anger-helped to ignore the pain. I raised my head as much as possible. "Why...the hell...did...you...leave...him?" I demanded, taking deep intakes.
"He told us to go cover you. You're lucky we got here when we did. Keep talking to me, Joon."
"G-Get...out of...h-here...a-and go...help him!"
"We're staying. Whether you like it or not."
I looked to Hoseok desperately. "Please..." I begged. "H-He'll die..."
"Don't worry about him," Yoongi said. "Just focus on me. Focus on Hoseok. Stay with us!"
A small drop of water fell onto my cheek; that's when I noticed that Hoseok was crying. My concern turned to him. After his backstory, he's been through too much. This is probably pushing him over the edge. I swallowed. "I'll be okay, Hobi," I choked out.
He nodded, still crying. "I should go back to Jin."
"Y-Yes. Please...help him-AH!" Sharp pain shot through my insides, making me twitch.
"Alright, go. The ambulance will hopefully be here soon enough. Good luck." With that, Hoseok raced out of the old abandoned barn we found shelter in from the attack tonight that went haywire. Knowing Jin would have backup caused me to feel a whole lot less stressed about the whole situation. My body went limp.
