"TAEHYUNG, COME BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!"
Good lord, what's going on now?
Cradling a sleeping Jungkook in my arms, I stepped out into the hallway just as a little blonde head hit my thigh. Taehyung looked up at me. "Mommy!"
I brushed his hair with my fingers. "Tae, honey, what's wrong?"
Just then, my husband rounded the corner, breathing heavily. "How is he so fast with such tiny legs?" Namjoon sighed.
"Mommy, Daddy is being mean again!" he cried, hiding behind me and pressing his face into the back of my leg.
"I'm not being mean," he defended. "I told you to pick up your toys six different times, and trust me when I say that I've been counting."
"No!"
"Taehyung," I warned. "What have I told you about saying disobeying your father?"
"To not to."
"That's right. And you need to listen to him. Isn't that right?"
He hesitating before answering, "Well, yes."
"And you love him right?"
"Of course I do!"
"Then why don't you go tell him that?"
He did so. He walked shyly up to Namjoon and started to cry. "I-I'm sorry, Daddy! I didn't mean it when I called you a meanie!" He clasped onto his leg. "I'm sorry!"
Namjoon gazed down at him, an amused glint in his eyes. "I forgive you, Taehyung. You just need to promise me you'll do as I say." He knelt down on one knee, and yet he was still taller than his son. "I'm your father and I know what's best for you. Can I count on you to listen from now on?"
He nodded profusely. "Yes, yes, I promise."
"Good. Go on and start picking up."
"Okay, Daddy!" He skipped past him and around the corner.
Namjoon stood up straight and grinned at me. "How are you so fantastic at parenting?" he asked, walking up and taking Jungkook's tiny fist.
I smiled. "I wouldn't say I'm fantastic."
"I would. Much better than me anyway."
"Hey, don't do that to yourself." Using my free hand, I placed a hand on his neck to pull him closer. "You're a great father. You just don't discipline very well."
"I can't help it." He slid his hands down my torso until he found my waist. "God, am I glad I have you here. Otherwise I'd be completely lost with every action I make."
"Oh, babe, I know."
He laughed. "Gee, thanks," he said sarcastically. He pressed his lips against mine, kissing me softly.
"DADDY! YOONGI TOOK TATA!" Taehyung cried from the other room.
Sighing, Namjoon broke the kiss. "Alright, is it my turn?"
"I did it last week. Besides, it's Jungkook's nap time. Isn't that right, Kookie?"
He cooed, making both of us "aww" at how cute he was.
"Okay, I'm on it." He turned away.
"Wait, Joonie?"
He faced me again. "Yeah?"
"I, uh, I need to talk with you once you're done."
His face dropped. "Uh oh. That doesn't sound good."
