Jin💕: Hey, where are you?

Joonie❤️: Sorry babe I'm still at the studio.

Jin💕: You've been there all day!

Joonie❤️: I really am sorry. Time got away from me. I'm almost done.

Jin💕: You always say that.

Joonie❤️: This time I mean it

Jin💕: Have you eaten yet?

I winced. Damn it.

Joonie❤️: No...

Jin💕: You have food in the microwave waiting for you when you get here. Which better be in the next half hour.

Joonie❤️: I gotta finish this. Then I'll be there.

Jin💕: I don't like you getting home after midnight, Joonie.

Joonie❤️: I know I don't either. I promise to leave at 2:30. Deal?

Jin💕: Fine. But I'm going to be asleep by the time you get here.

Joonie❤️: Good you need sleep

Jin💕: Not me, babe.

Joonie❤️: I'll see you in the morning then?

Jin💕: Yeah. I love you, Joonie.

I smiled at the phone screen.

Joonie❤️: I love you too, Jin.

That was the last text exchanged between us for the night. I leaned back in my chair, sighing. Maybe he's right. I should leave now. It is 2:04.

But I need to finish this song. I've been pushing it aside for weeks and regret it at this moment. I had gotten a first verse but am struggling on creating a chorus. I rarely have writer's block, and when I do I swear it is the most frustrating thing I can think of.

I hate leaving Jin alone. I wish I was there with him, lying in bed and holding him. I loved the feeling of his body against mine. His familiar touch never gets old; as a matter of fact, I miss it.

I ran a hand down my face, trying to keep my eyes open. "Come on, Namjoon," I muttered to myself.

I jotted down random lyrics over and over again until I found one I liked, which was none of them. I hoped that if I kept going it would eventually come to me, but the longer I was working on it the more slim the chances became.

Ok, I'm obviously not finishing this tonight. I want to be with my boyfriend.

I stood up and got to the dorm as fast as I could.

When I arrived, I walked through the front door and immediately sighed at the sight in front of me.

Jin sat at the table in the kitchen. His head was supported on both arms folded on the table's surface. His mouth was buried in the crook of his arm, leaving only his closed eyes visible. He had a bowl of steaming food next to him with a folded note in front of it. I slowly and quietly stepped farther inside and picked up the small piece of paper.

Stop forgetting to eat, Namjoon.

I grinned. I glanced over at him. My sleeping beauty...

I walked over to rub his back. "Jin," I softly said. "Jin, hey."

He shifted.

"Babe, wake up."

His eyes fluttered. Once he noticed me, his eyes widened. "Joonie."

"Hey," I greeted, running my fingers through his soft hair. "Why aren't you in bed?"

His eyes moved from me to the bowl of food and then back to me. "I...I tried to stay up. To, to make sure you ate."

"Jin, you should be sleeping."

"I was."

I rolled my eyes. "In an actual bed, not on a table."

He frowned. "What's the difference?"

"A lot of things."

"No," he groaned, sitting up. "There is no difference." He hugged himself and shivered. "It's so lonely without you next to me. Sure, I see you the next morning, but I go to sleep knowing you're not there."

The pain in his expression was agonizing. I just wanted to hold him, to take him to bed, to whisper in his ear to tell him I promise I won't do it again.

But I can't. Because I will do it again. Being an idol is amazing and nothing comes close, but sacrifices must be made.

"I know you work, and whatever you are doing is obviously really important." He rested his face in his hands, leaning on his elbows propped up on the table. "I'm so sorry. I'm being selfish."

"You're not."

He looked at me. "I'm not? Then what am I being?"

"Reasonable." I smiled. "Come on," I said, taking his hand in mine. "How about we go to bed and talk about it in the morning?"

"Namjoon, you still haven't eaten."

"I'll eat it in the morning. Let's go to bed."

He tugged on my arm gently. "No. You're eating now. I didn't cook that to have it be put in the fridge and forgotten. Or have one of the kids find it. Go on. Sit."

I sat down across from him with a sigh. "Only if you help me."

His eyes screamed at me that he was dead tired, but his smile was still beautiful. "If you insist."

I smirked at him.

"You're eating most of it."

I used the chopsticks to pick up a piece of meat on the top. "Whatever you say." I extended it toward him. Jin opened his mouth and took it from the chopsticks.

Once the bowl was empty, I stood. I walked over until I was staring straight down at him. "Now let's go to bed and finally get some sleep. Okay?"

He nodded and mumbled a "mhm". He raised his arms toward me and pouted like a child.

"Really?" I complained.

"Don't be late and you won't have to."

"Fine."

I allowed his arms to wrap around my neck. I held him close as I grabbed his thighs and picked him up as he wrapped his legs around my waist. His face snuggled into my neck as he moaned sleepily. "I love you, Namjoon."

"And I love you, Jinnie."

Those names used during the texting at the beginning is how they are saved in each other's phones.

Hope you enjoyed!
