During the night I couldn't sleep due to the nightmare that I had experienced earlier in the night but miraculously my mind drifted off into a light sleep. No matter how far I drifted into sleep the images and the horrifying realism of that dream haunted me, like the figure of death lurking behind me.

When I awoke, morning had broke and wearily my body practically dragged itself out of bed using up most of my will power. The time was eight forty seven a.m. and mostly I was hungry evidenced by my rumbling stomach.

I stumbled drearily into the kitchen where I found my Dad was cooking breakfast!

The smell of burning bacon and fried egg drifted up my nostrils as my Dad turned to me and said, "morning I have to set of for work in about forty five minutes but I have made or I am making breakfast for us both before I go!" His ignorance of the days before comforted me, I was thankful he saw his daughter and not what I actually was...a murderer.

In response I uttered "thanks Dad do you want something to drink?"

"No I've already got a cup of tea," Dad said in response as he gestured towards a cup that sat on the work side next to him.

I started to fix myself a cup of coffee to wake up my half asleep brain. Stirring the cup of coffee mixture with boiling water calmed my nerves, still remaining from the days prior.

My entire body ached with tiredness as I ate my breakfast and drank my coffee I didn't even notice my Dad leave the house. Thinking about what to do since I didn't have school but I did have to work experience next weekend Saturday and Sunday from nine a.m. until four thirty p.m. at the local garden centre.

Pondering what to do the thought of the killing game creeped back into my head, one thought in particular about the time limit. The e-mail said if I didn't meet another participant within a weeks time the implant in my neck would kill me.

This was a concern since I had had last met another participant two days ago at night so I had five days to meet another player otherwise I'd die. The best idea was to go out and just walk around hoping to pass a participant.

It was then I remembered the e-mail I got and what is said about disposing of a participant and when they were disposed of a clue to the deactivation button should be revealed, so I went upstairs and grabbed the PTD and booted it up to see the messages tap displaying one new message.

The message read '1978' what did it mean it probably was a year as in nineteen seventy eight. The significance of this year and what it had to do with the location of the deactivation button, was unclear to me.

I decided to input the number into an internet search, the results came up with: a year of virtually no crime, new records hitting number one and other miscellaneous stories of a mundane year.

That's when I thought I had two pieces of information of where the deactivation button was located the button was somewhere in or around Pine Wood Valley also the location had something to do with '1978' so I first searched for when the town was founded, which it revealed the town was founded in nineteen eighty one.

From the search I found out the town's Firehouse was founded one year after the town was founded so in nineteen eighty two, also I found out the dam toward the edge of the valley was built two years before the town was founded, so in nineteen seventy nine everything else founded in that time had been destroyed since then.

The internet search didn't yield any helpful results.
