"Did you have a good sleep, Kira?" Tanong ni Pearl habang inaayos ang susuotin ko ngayong araw. I was curious why it wasn't a pirate suit, but a gown.
"Yes. I did." I lied. Hindi na ako nakatulog pa pagkatapos ng naging enkwentro namin ni Marco.
"Good. Because today, you will be formally crowned as the queen of all pirates. You will officially be a part of the order."
Order. I heard Marco and his brother say it. "What exactly is an order?"
Ngumiti si Pearl, "it's the hierarchy itself. Maximo is, of course, the highest, you, on the other hand, will be queen, you will be second highest to the order. The right hand of the king, whom is the most trusted squadron leader, is Marco, is third. And it goes down to the council who keeps the order. Basically, parang mas mataas ang council sa inyo since they keep the balance of the order."
Tumango na lang ako. All the information was sinking in, but I couldn't understand it as my head was bombarded with questions, not about the order, but my father.
Giniya ako ni Pearl papunta sa harap ng dressing seat, she helped me with my petticoat, down towards the last coat. I admire how the dress hugged my body, emphasizing the curves of my body. The gold shades of the gown somehow made my pale skin glow.
She braided by hair, turning it into a makeshift crown. Pearl is really at her best at all the things she does. No sign of a single hair that wasn't braided. She did it neat.
After that, she applied primer on my face, then the foundation down to the contour, emphasizing my high cheekbones and my nose. My nose is one of my greatest assets—not too sharp, not too flat. Just the ideal type. "Kira, what shade of lipstick do you want? Chic or pink?"
"Pink."
"Glossy, bitten, or satin?"
"Satin." I answered.
Pearl nodded. I smelled the strawberry-ish aroma of the lipstick that she applied. Afterwards, she demonstrated me to smudge the paint using my bare lips. I followed knowingly.
"Something is missing." Nakita ko ang malalim na pag-isip ni Pearl habang nakatingin sa akin. As if remembering something, she opened the drawer, revealing jewelries I never thought would be there. She opened a box, revealing the best among the rest. My eyes twinkled in delight. Wow. All of this, I'm sure they all cost hundreds of millions.
Kumuha si Pearl ng pink pearl earrings, then she hung a silver thing on my forehead. "Done, Kira."
Tinignan ko ang sarili ko sa mirror, I smiled genuinely at the sight. It felt like seeing me at my most beautiful, shimmering, and elegant self. "Wow."
Ngumiti si Pearl, pleased to herself. "Now that you are fixed," fixed talaga? "We should be heading out already for the coronation."
"Wait. Wala pa akong heels."
"Oh, right. I almost forgot. Here." Pearl said, taking out a glass-like heels. I gasped in awe. "Please, see if I got your measurements correct."
I wore it and it fitted me exactly. I smiled at Pearl and gave her a thumb up.
"Let's go, Kira. We must not make Maximo wait."
I nodded. Lumabas na kami ni Pearl, I was greeted outside with Marco in his royal suit, he seems to be waiting for someone. He looked at me, I don't know if it was my imagination but I saw his cheek turn red for a moment. I looked beside me and saw Pearl. Oh, I think I know now why he blushed. I nudged Pearl playfully.
He curtsied to me. "Milady, may I?" He offered his hand at me.
"Who exactly, Marco? Me or Pearl?" I grinned.
