"Kid, my son!" Mabilis na tumakbo si papa at saka hinila si Kid para yakapin nang mahigpit. "Perfect timing!" Bumungisngis si papa. "Now, both my babies are with me!" Tumingin siya sa akin, gayon din sa aking kapatid.

Kumuyom ang aking kamao nang dumapo ang aking mga mata sa ngising nakaukit sa labi ni Kid. When was the last time I saw him? Oh, right... when he killed Mermaid and stabbed Maximo... almost to death. Wala akong ibang naramdaman kung hindi ay galiy. Alam kong iyon din ang nararamdaman ni Maximo, but he suppressed his anger and contained it to himself. But I can smell it... the overwhelming emotions that are about to explode in Maximo's soul.

"Hey, Aki." Ngumiti sa akin si Kid. May gana pa siyang ngumiti? Matapos niyang patayin ang sariling anak? I took a dagger from the hilt on my leg and firmly gripped on it. Kid's mouth formed an O, "what a warm greeting."

Mula sa gilid ng aking tingin ay nakita ko ang biglang pagkawala ni Maximo, sa isang iglap ay nasa harap na siya ni Kid. Ang dulo ng matalim nitong espada ay nakatutok na sa leeg ng aking kapatid. May dugo pang tumulo mula roon. Maximo was shrouded with nothing but pitch black. I can feel every deadly intent coming from him. I sensed a little flick of fear in Kid, but he shook it away and jumped a meter backwards, si papa naman ay nagtago sa likod ng aking kapatid.

"You should have killed me... you let your only chance slip away." Umiling pa si Kid habang tinuturuan si Maximo. I saw how Maximo clenched his jaw and grit his teeth. I took this chance that his attention was at Maximo and flung the stiletto in an accurate aim.

Dalawang pulgada na lang ang layo nang umigtad si Kid dahilan upang tumama ang punyal sa taong nakatago sa kan'yang likod, kay papa. Tumarak ang matalim nitong metalya hanggang sa dulong tinatapos ng hawakan sa kan'yang tagiliran dahilan upang umimpit siya sa sakit.

"Whoa, there... Aki, are you trying to kill our father?" Kid asked, though there seemed to be no concern or worry in his eyes. It seems like he purposively dodged my attack and let my father mend to it.

"I will kill you, Kid." I hissed.

"No, Starfish... I will." Maximo countered. With that he raised his sword at Kid, "pull your armament out. It is against my principle to kill someone who is weaponless."

"Ah, a man of principles, huh?" Humalakhak si Kid. Nagulat ako nang hawakan niya sa kwelyo si papa na halatang nasasaktan at saka pwersado siyang pinatayo. "Father, please leave the room." With that, he pushed papa away. He stumbled on his feet, trying to regain his balance. I watched my father with nothing but disappointment, then he looked at Kid with hope. With that, he stormed off the room. When our father was gone, Kid smirked. "Okay, shall we begin?"

Before Maximo could answer, Kid ran in a speed of light. The next thing I knew, I saw the collision of two metallic forces, causing a spark and glitch that would be enough to start an explosion and fireworks. I watched the two spar against each other with their blade. Kid was a second late in dodging Maximo's erratic attack. The sword almost caught his eye, slicing just below it like a dead meat.

Kid took a few steps back with caution. He wiped the blood away but more kept coming out. The cut must be pretty deep no matter how small it was.

"I don't fucking care if you are Kira's true brother." Maximo snarled at Kid, "I will kill you."

"Oh, I'd love you try." Kid provoked. With that, Maximo plunged. I watched Kid, I suddenly sensed danger like it was nearing.

I gasped when I realized what Kid was about to do. I confirmed it with my eyes... tumaas ang sulok ng labi ni Kid na tila ngumisi nang palihim, his eyes glistened in anticipation as he waited for Maximo to come closer, with that, Kid dropped his sword and took something from inside his tuxedo... it was a handgun. He aimed it at Maximo with a playful "Checkmate" word coming out of his mouth.

Kasabay ng pagkulintang ng espada ni Kid sa marmol na sahig ay ang tunog ng pagputok. I looked at Maximo, halos bumuntong-hininga ako nang nalamang hindi siya nasugatan. He shielded himself using his sword.

"You play dirty." Maximo said at Kid in his baritone. "Have I known before, when you pretended to be Joziah, I should have shove my sword in your throat."

Kid chuckled, "you are a fool... and you proved that when you fell in love with my sister."

Maximo sneered, as if teasing Kid, "at least she is not my sister... you incest piece of trash." That seem to strike a nerve of Kid, halos malukot ang mukha ni Kid dahil sa galit.

"You don't know Aki more than I do." Kid said in his angry tone, "you know nothing at all."

"I beg to disagree. But what's the use of arguing to someone who is about to die?"
