House

"Wow!" Bulong ko sa sarili. Papasok kami sa isang napakagandang bahay. A very beautiful beach house.

"Is this yours?" I asked him as we entered the house pero hindi siya sumagot.

The setting is pure magic with its stunning hilltop location and amazing panoramic views. The materials used throughout the home were off-shutter concrete, Rheinzink roofing, timber cladding, stone and exposed aggregate.

With a grand staircase at the front of the home and a spiral staircase midway through the social volume traveling both up and down, the dynamics of the social zone is one of connectivity and constant motion. This free-flowing atmosphere is further enhanced by the minimalist choices of furnishings and accessories.

"Ang ganda." Namamangha pa din ako at inililibot ang mga mata.

"You wanna tour around?" tanong niya sa akin, tumango ako agad bilang sagot.

The main entrance opens up to a hallway with a bedroom suite, complete with sitting area off to the right and the 3-car garage off to the left. A second hall leads from the garage to a larger and grander master suite that extends all the way to the back of the home - overlooking the expansive hilltop ocean views.

The sitting area in the bedroom suite is contained within the concrete section of the home. The raw beauty of the concrete construction is celebrated on both the walls and the ceiling. The bedroom is divided into zones of sleeping, bathing, dressing and more. A headboard wall creates the division between the all the bathroom areas, except the soaker tub. It's positioned right next to the bed and alongside the wall of glazing's and only a wall of curtains separates the two areas.

The master bedroom features a wall of glass between the en-suite and the sleeping area - to ensure uninterrupted views of the coastline from both zones.

'Wow', 'Ang ganda' ayan ang paulit-ulit na lumalabas sa aking bibig habang nililibot namin ang bahay. Si Markus naman ay tahimik lang at hinahayaan akong kilatisin ang lahat.

Just outside the living room, accessed by large expanses of operable glazing's, is a terrace surrounded on two sides by the home's pool and on a third by a garden terrace. The second level bedroom suite opens up to the grassed yard. A Jacuzzi is positioned just next to the pool and with views everywhere you look and the experience is definitely amazing.

Napangiti ako ng maalala ang gusto kong beach house simula noong bata pa lamang ako. Masasabi kong may pagkakatulad nitong kay Markus. Located on the hilltop. The exterior... the interior.

"You really good at this. This is so beautiful."

"I'm not the one who designed this," he answered.

"Then who?" tanong ko

Sketched on an ARCH D paper, tinignan ko isa-isa. From the very beginning which is the building plan... first floor and second floor. Every room designs... lahat andito. These drafts are the drafts for the whole house, plano ito para sa bahay na ito.

The moment my eyes caught frame number seven ay nagulat ako ng makita ko ang aking initials (SXZB). Which I usually put sa dulo ng gawa ko.

Hinawakan ko ito. "This is my design."
