What is an emotion? Just a mental activity, sometimes just a mix of hormones, something unseen, small, yet so incredibly important. Such a seemingly simple thing could make one become the happiest creature alive, one the most despaired. This small thing has made kings fall. This invisible thing could make anyone go crazy. Paradox, but such a microscopic thing was one of the most important ones in our life.

Oxytocin. Just a hormone, just a mix of chemical substances, yet it made human's feel one of the greatest emotions ever: love. Oxytocin has already been explored by scientists and there seemed to be nothing unknown about it, yet love was still a rather mysterious thing. Also, this small thing was the one, that didn't let you sleep in the moment, making you go worried and slightly irritated.

When did you fall in love with him? Was it when he let you wear his coat, when it was raining because your forgot yours? Or when you caught him staring at you in that evening 5 months ago, when you two were near the lake? Or perhaps, you fell in love with him because of the way he was always protecting you? You didn't even know exactly wether you fell in love with him all at once in one special moment or slowly, without even noticing it. You didn't know, nor that it was important. All you knew was that you were deeply in love with your partner, Akutagawa Ryunoske, who was supposed to come to you in any minute.

Why didn't you confess to him before he was sent on this mission? If you did, you wouldn't be reproaching yourself now. He called you and he said, that he'll be back soon and he'll visit you, but you were still terribly worried, that something could wrong so that you were almost ready to rip your hair out.

It was almost 2am, yet going to sleep was not even a variant. Even if you tried it, you knew, that you wouldn't be able to close your eyes calmly and leave to Morpheus kingdom before seeing him. All you wished for was to simply make sure, that he was safe and sound and also...you only wanted to let him know, that you loved him truly. Just that

You heard your phone buzzing as you immediately reached over to grab it. It was only a message from Akutagawa, which said, that he will be at your apartment in about 15 minutes, but it was enough to make your heart skip a beat.

Humans have been feeling a different variety of emotions for many years and centuries, yet it still wasn't enough for them to learn, that all important things were meant to be shared, before department or else, worrying might eat you alive. Humans were trying to learn how to avoid feeling anything, how to learn how to hide it, how to change it, yet none of them was brave enough to simply accept our fate of small, weak creatures, who were programmed to feel.

You only had to wait a little more.

Just 15 more minutes and you will confess. You will let him know, that he's not alone in this
world, you will let him know, that every part of him is loved and treasured, you will let him know, that you will go through hell if it was what it took to be with him. Just a little more...

Suddenly, the door bell rang and you jumped off the couch, rushing to the door, before opening.

"Hi."

There he was, standing right in front of you with his messy black hair and cheeks pink from the froze outside. He was breathing heavily, obviously from running and rushing to see you. You noticed, how he was wearing a scarf, that you've given him a couple of months ago, feeling your heart melting because you had no idea that he was wearing it all this time.

"Hi." You managed to say, staring deeply into his eyes

You two were simply continuing to stand at the doorway, mesmerized by each other's sight because this seemed to be the only important thing in that moment

"Akutagawa..." You started "There's something you need to know..."
