Meeting him in the middle of the night was one of the most horrible ideas, you could have ever thought of, but you couldn't help it, but let the petty weaknesses take over your mind. After all, both of you were just small, wretched humans, who couldn't even resist the hormones

"So you came, huh?" You asked, smirk adoring your bloody-red lips as the smoke left your lips

The white-haired boy was standing next to you, seeming to be slightly hesitating about the decision he made and not being sure, if meeting a mafia member was a good idea.

"Of course, I did." He answered "I couldn't miss such an opportunity, (Y/N). Usually, it's me trying to find you, but now, you contacted me yourself."

You leaned on the railing, looking down at the street. Yeah, choosing the top of this skyscraper as a meeting point was definitely a good idea because no matter how the talk could go, you would at least have a breathtaking view

Atsushi was debating with himself, wether he had to take that cigarette out of your hands and stop you from earning a lung cancer or memorize every single trait of your face under the moonlight so eventually, he decided to distract himself with a conversation

"Why did you call me?" He asked

"I guess, you know it." You replied "You've been chasing me all time, when I clearly told you to leave me alone."

"It's what your mind wants, but I know, that you love me too." Atsushi replied, feeling an unexpected confidence coming to him

"It's what you want to think." You frowned

"It's the truth, (Y/N)." He insisted

You didn't replied and instead, looked up at the starts. Millions of shiny stars were looking down at you. You remembered how people often said, that stars made them feel safe and relaxed, but you were only feeling watched. Millions of stars became millions of eyes, staring at you, judging you and making you want to crawl back into the complete darkness, where you came from

"Atsushi, you are...the good guy." You started "And I'm the villain. I'll always be the villain. You are supposed to find a cute, civilian girl with a normal life and be happy with her, yet you chose a mafia member. Even our organizations are fighting with each other. How can you still want to be with me?"

"Because I can see how much deeper you are, than just being a villain." Atsushi replied seriously, stepping closer to you "I can help you escape this life as a villain. I can even ask the Agency for help."

"And what? Be like Dazai?" You asked "Seek for death and void? Atsushi, if I escape, I'll be just like him: a star, that burned too bright and died from its own brightness and all that will be left, will be a small handful of stardust."

This time, Atsushi stayed silent
