How wi...
Alexander, my dear brother, was getting married. I was super excited for him and his bride. "Thomas!" I shout up the stairs. "Yes?" He replies. "Hurry up please," I half yell. He comes prancing down the stairs. He stares in awe at me. "You look beautiful," he says. I turn light red. My dress is white with gold patterns on it.

"You don't look so bad yourself," I tell him, and he smiles. I grab his arm as he leads me to the carriage. "Who is Alexander getting married to?" Thomas asks me as the carriage starts moving. "Miss Eliza Schuyler," I reply, and he nods. We make idle conversation as we soon approach the church. "I've never been religious," Thomas says to me, and I nod. "I'm religious, but not as much as Alexander," I ponder for a moment, but snap out of it. I lean against Thomas, and I feel his loving stare on me. I look up and and smile at him. "You're so amazing," he tells me, and I blush lightly. We take our seats in the front, and I ask Thomas to save me a spot. He nods. "Where are you going," he asks, slightly concerned. "Eliza needs help," I respond, and his mouth makes an O shape. I hurry to the back room, and open it. Angelica and Peggy are fretting over Eliza. "Y/N!" Eliza shouts, and I rush to give her a hug. I wipe away a few tears. "You look beautiful," I say. She really does. She's wearing a long white gown with sequins sprinkling around it. An equally long veil is behind her hair, which is up in an elegant bun. Eliza is also on he verge of tears. I wipe them away with my thumbs. "No crying!" Angelica says, but tears are silently running down her cheeks. Peggy makes a couple of final adjustments, and then steps back. "Eliza, you look amazing!" Peggy coos, and I nod my head in agreement. I hug her one last time. "I have to check on the groom," I tell them, and wave goodbye. I walk down the long hallway until I reach Alexander's door. I knock firmly, and it swings open. Lafayette is standing there. "No ladies allowed!" He tells me. I cross my arms and roll my eyes. "I'm his sister!" He steps aside and I enter. John is talking to Hercules, and Alexander is adjusting his tie in the mirror. He turns to me. I'm crying now, and he hugs me. "I can't believe this is happening," I tell him and he smiles. "I'm nervous," he tells me and I laugh. "You're very lucky," I say, and he nods. "I know! She's amazing!" I hug him once more, and turn to leave. "Alexander," I say at the door. "Yes, Y/N?" "Be true," I say, and walk away.
I return to my spot, and sit by Thomas. He looks at me. "Are you ok?" He asks me. I wipe my tears away with my handkerchief, and nod. "My little brother is getting married!" I smile. Thomas looks at me in surprise. "You're older than him?" He asks, and I laugh. "Yes I am, by a couple of years," I reply. He smirks. "Blackmail," he mutters and I smack him lightly on the shoulder. "Thomas!" He laughs. The music starts and the bridesmaids and groomsmen walk in. Then in walks Eliza. She is so beautiful, and I know that's what Alexander is thinking too. He's beaming. They exchange their vows. "You May now kiss the bride!" The preacher declares. There's clapping as Alexander kisses his new bride. I clap and smile. They proceed out, and the crowd follows after the newly weds. The reception is filled with chattering, congratulations, and champagne. I sit at a table with Thomas, Hercules, Lafayette, Peggy, and Angelica. I'm talking to Angelica about legal matters happening in the senate when I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around and see it is a middle aged man, who is clearly intoxicated. I stand up to greet him. "Hello sir, how may I help you?" I ask him politely, but I'm nervous and very uncomfortable. Angelica looks at me, and she stands up. I mouth to her to go find Thomas, and she nods. "You should come back to my place," he slurs heavily, and his grip on my shoulder tightens. "No thank you," I reply. " I have a significant other." He seems angry now, and is pulling at me, trying to get me to move closer to him. "You're a woman, you can't to anything," he still slurring. "Sir, Let go of me," I command, but he won't stop. "You need to come with me!" He's shouting now, but nobody notices. "No!" I say, terrified now. I see Angelica leading the way to me, Thomas on her heels. He sees me, and his eyes widen. He hurried over to me, pulling me out of the mans grasp. Angelica grabs me, and I start crying. Thomas is talking to the man in low tones now, and soon he leaves. I fall into Thomas's arms, and he hugs me. "Do you want to leave?" He asks me, but I shake my head. "I need to find Alexander and Eliza," I say, and he nods. I take his arm, and we make our way to them. I hug Eliza as Thomas moves to congratulate Alexander. "He's a bit annoying," I warn her, and she laughs. "What's going on with you and Thomas?" She asks me, and I turn slightly red. "I'm pretty sure we are together," I say, and I feel Thomas drape his arm over me. "Say what?" He asks, and I laugh. "Lady talk," I respond. Alexander hugs me, and I elbow his shoulder lightly. "Congrats, Alex," I say, and he beams. "I'm so lucky!" He laughs, and we save our goodbyes. When we get home, I slip out of my dress and into a long nightgown. I walk into the living room, and lay on the couch. I'm reading a book on the wonders of forests when it's ripped from my grasp. "Hello Thomas," I giggle and squeal as I'm picked up. He carries me to the bedroom, and lays me down. He cuddles up next to me. "I love you Y/n," he whispers in my ear. "I love you too," I respond as we drift into a comfortable sleep.
